NFL Week 14, early game open thread
The St. Louis Rams and the rest of the NFC West play the afternoon set today. But there's still plenty of red hot football action to keep you warm on this blustery winter day. And, for our SoCal contingent, enough football to keep you out of the smog this a.m.
As far as the best game on the early slate...jeez, take your pick. For my money, it's probably the Cleveland-Buffalo battle, upstart teams, more evenly matched...but I don't know.
We'll have a game thread up for the Rams game half an hour ahead of time.
I'm also going to throw this out again, be sure to to follow TST on Facebook and Twitter, if you use those things. If not, no biggie. This site is the hub, those are just tools to keep everyone engaged with TST wherever they are on the web.

you don't build teams in free agency
you know this, Van. We talk about it on TSR all the time. You patch holes through free agency, maybe put a golden patch with a marquee FA. But you can’t put a team together solely through the waiver wire. Good teams draft well. It sucks that it’s that simple, but it’s the truth.
You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In *St. Louis* his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill! Period! Win by attrition. Well, *Steven Jackson* was the best.
Very Very true... well said and FACT
Pooch punts should be illegal inside an opponents 38 yard line.
I hear ya on that.
I no longer can get tickets off craigslist for half off, but ill take it with the winning.

Carlos Dunlap
Just made a fabulous play in Pitt
Batted ball at goaline and almost picked it off to boot.

Jaguars
Watching Raiders Jags. The Jags look so awful. The next Jim Plunkett is having his way with them.
some interesting movement for draft order today
three two-win teams in contention in their games:
Bills up 10-6 over Cleveland
Bengals down 7-13 to the Steelers
and Detroit down 0-3 to a Rodgers-less Green Bay
