Rams Draft 2011
I know theres tons of em but this is my opinion
Round 1: Justin Blackmon WR OK ST.
Perfect for this offense. All of the receivers we already have in one but even better
Alt: Jeremy Beal OLB Oklahoma
Round 2: Dontay Moch OLB Nevada
Type of OLB we need to fix the RB and TE coverage problems. He runs a 4.38 Forty and is perefect size for a Will LB
Alt: Stephen Schilling OG Michigan
Round 3: Noel Devine RB West Virginia
Change of Pace RB. IMO the fastset player in the NCAA. Could open up the offense tremendously. Is quite small so he might fall to this round
Alt: Chris Rucker CB Michigan State
Round 4: Colby Whitlock DT Texas Tech
Decent Pass-rusher On the smallish side for a DT. Could be used same way as C.J. Ah You.
Alt: Zach Hurd OG Connecticut
Round 5: Kevin Rutland CB Missouri
Normal sized CB. has good hands not many picks though. Very physical at the line.
Alt: Preston Dial FB Alabama
Round 6: Kyle Hix OT Texas
Is an OT but could play OG.
Alt: Eric Hagg SS Nebraska
I'm not sure if we have a 7th round pick. If we do tell me and i'll add who i think we should pick there.

Blackmon, Moch, and Devine
not bad…..

I like Devine,
but I bet he struggles greatly as a runningback in the NFL. I could be wrong, but I can see him struggle as a runningback even worse than Jahvid Best is seeing as he is smaller.
"I kind of stepped my swagger up. You look at the Madden game and the swagger's so low, maybe they'll bump me up. Before it was a meatball flex, so you've got to liven it up a little bit." - Animal Jr.
Yea but people also said that about sproles and he has been solid as a #2 back.

Sproles is stronger though.
His lower body is beast.

It'd be nice to not pick up a RB in the 3rd round...
…perhaps a DT would be money better spent? I like taking a WR and OLB with the first two picks though. Don’t know much about Moch though…

I like moch because he has speed
he can cover RB’s out the backfield and can stop those outside and off tackle runs we get burnt by way too much
I've watched Moch
And his coverage skills are nothing special. He’s a liability in that respect. Awesome athlete but a pass rushing specialist. Not that we couldn’t use one but we need a true WLB like Carter or Travis Lewis.

Sproles was headed here this year
until San Diego reeled him back in. He will be a free agent after this year, so there is a reasonable chance he will be a Ram next year and we won’t have to worry about RB in the draft.
That'd be really good news...
…same thing if we could sign Rice or VJax. Then we could load up on defense and OL.

Free agency will be interesting this year
Now that ownership is settled. No excuses

The only fly in the ointment could be
if there is a serious salary cap. I doubt we could add both Sproles and one of the top WRs, let alone Mankins, and stay under the cap. It sure would be nice, though.
