Cowboys fire Wade Phillips, jump start coaching carousel
My mother always said that if you can't say nice...yeah, yeah, yeah. Today's event, Dallas Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips fired for leading the residents of a pricey billion dollar stadium to a second-to-league-worst 1-7, got me thinking...
As a St. Louis Rams fan, it reminds me of what a pleasure it is to finally be watching a Rams team, franchise, on the way up, rather than in disrepair.
Hot head coaches
Um, that sub-heading didn't sound quite like a I meant it to... Dallas offensive coordinator Jason Garrett was on the short list last year for potential head coaches. He's been made interim head coach in the wake of Phillips' dismissal. Is his stock high enough in Dallas that he stays? If not, does that bump his stock down a notch when vacancies open up in January?
This figures to be an interesting offseason. Even if labor battles aren't your thing, the head coaching carousel alone will have more intrigue than a trip to family therapy with the Lohans. You have to think that Childress is out in Minnesota. Leslie Frazier, the Vikings' defensive coordinator, is another name on the short list. Does he end up taking over in Minnesota? And what about all the other teams likely to face upheaval?

Haha today's evidence:
“The Rams D licked balls.”
“…my Cowboys friend has been riding my ass…”
And a whole slew of things relating to the asses of Niners fans and the things dbcouver wishes he could do to them.
^you make a very good point mk

There was an article today by Bill Coats of the St. Louis Post Dispatch:
On his his way back towards rejoining the squad. Hopefully not to soon. Good luck DX.
poor kid
I mean seriously, little boys everywhere dream of working hard and having the natural talent to make it to the NFL. I bet when they are dreaming about that they never consider the factor of having a knee put together with silly string.
i was so happy at the time when we didnt hire jason garrett
i think the finalists for the job were spags, rex ryan and jaosn garrett. i remember really wanting rex ryan, but being fine with spags. i just hoped to god we didnt take garrett. in hindsight, i am very happy we hired spags over ryan too. i dont think there was anyone who could have turned us around like spags did and im thrilled about he way it went.

Spags was perfect.
The rams D licked balls. He came in and cut good players, and brought in size. He improved a shitty D. The O was just a few big guys away. And with a great 1st pick, he has the rams well on their way to the promise land.

so who's gonna win coach of the year?
i thought for sure spags would take it but it looks like the ever so cocky raheem morris might take it now. depends how each team does in the 2nd half of the season
Mike Singletary...
his awfulness has given the rams a legit shot at the playoffs.
god damn it..... my stupid comment part put that in there
it was meant to be just “lmao”….. freaking did it again
I always wanted Spags... Rex Ryan was too boisterous for my team
and I don’t like the 3-4 defense.
Spags made that Giants D awesome and is in my eyes the perfect way to play the 4-3 (Tampa 2 can suck my toes)
Garrett has always seen overrated to me.
teams shouldn’t be one dimensional but they should have identities. Garretts offense is a what offense?
a crap offense? yes it is.
I also don’t think he is enough of a peoples person to lead a locker room, seems like a dull and annoying dude.
so long live Spags!
