Hey guys, this is my first post, iv been on this site for a while but have been on active duty for the past few months and have not had much time to post and stuff. But I have been reading every day and have a few thoughts to share if you will oblige me.
So it seems that most people are going crazy saying "hey look what sammy can do with a good WR (DX), so we need to draft one early or pick one up in the upcoming FA. Why? You were right...look what he can do with DX, I understand that he has had some knee troubles but I wouldn't write him off for that. Sam had his best game by far with him in the lineup. Our tight ends more than make up for our deficiency in the WR department, and even so, hasn't Gibson and Robinson shown that they are starting to play better?
All I am saying is WR is really not our biggest problem. With DX and Clayton, with who i am sure we will retain next year, and Amendola in the slot and Avery as the primary back up and Gibson and Robinson as backups our WR core is not the best but certainly serviceable. And then we have our tight ends.. I saw the game yesterday, Uh Oh is magic waiting to happen, I mean that screen pass was outstanding and he broke what? 2 or 3 tackles..he is also a lot faster than advertised. Bajima (SP) is an underrated catcher and from what I saw yesterday an overrated blocker and Danial Fells will be Danial Fells, good but not great at receiving and blocking.
Point being is that we have a good set up for next year all injuries aside, I don't think we can afford to use a high draft pick on a position that all injuries aside are pretty set at.
