Marshall Faulk named Hall of Fame semifinalist
Former St. Louis Rams great Marshall Faulk made the cut as one of 26 Hall of Fame semifinalists.
Though he started his career with the Indianapolis Colts, Faulk holds a special place in the hearts of Rams fans. The do-it-all running back became synonymous with the Greatest Show on Turf era, helping the Rams win a Super Bowl and another NFC Championship.
Faulk is third among Rams franchise rushing leaders with 6,959 yards on 1,447 carries. He holds the franchise record for rushing TDs with 58. He's also pretty high up there on the receiving leader board too with 4,071 yards (4th), 470 catches (4th), and 27 TDs (10th).
What else is there to say about Faulk? I'd be shocked if he weren't a favorite players for every member of the TST community. This is the first year Faulk is eligible for the HOF. And it's stiff competition to make the next cut, which trims the list down to 15 finalists in January.
Also on the list is another Rams running back: Jerome Bettis.

Unanimous shoo-in?
I hope so. If he didn’t play on the two worst surfaces in the NFL (Colts + Rams), he would have broken every rushing record in the NFL.
Don't count on it.
He was a great player, but so were plenty of the others on the list, some of whom have been waiting a lot longer than Marshall for the honor. Don Coryell should make it as a coach, and should have made it while he was still alive. Most of the passing offenses in the league now owe their start to Coryell.
Didn't we have this discussion earlier?
I think the story is in the NFL Hall of Fame they don’t go in associated with one team like in MLB. They just go in as a player, with all their teams listed.
