There. Now I have your attention. I actually don't believe that. As much as very few people think the Rams have a shot at this game, I believe we do. I think that our group of guys just needs to do a few things:
1. No turnovers. This is important, as Atlanta seems to always make points from turnovers.
2. Turn up the heat on "Matty Ice". Early and often. If the defense comes out hungry like we've seen they can, pressure on Matt Ryan can cause their proficient passing game upside down. We are tied for the league lead in sacks at 28. This could happen.
3. Play 60 minutes. Nuff said there. Ball control and the Falcons offense on the bench for as long as we can.
A few interesting stats at this point in the season:
St. Louis ranks 12th in total defensive yards allowed per game. Atlanta is 17th.
Points allowed per game: Atlanta is 25th. St. Louis is 27th.
Offensive yards/game: Altanta 8th. St Louis 25th
The Falcons are averaging 24.7 points/game. The Rams: 17.8
It's pretty clear what needs to happen.
