This game could end up being a shoot out
Both teams seem pretty focused on stopping the run.
Onobun > Gates
We need receivers for that.

Either way, I just don't want the defense to
give up easy points like that 1st quarter meltdown
Bernie
Ummm…now they are playing nickel and Fletcher IS NOT in. Dockery is. Wow. Absolutely incomprehensible,

Come on Rams
Lets do this
"SJAX" - The extra strength cleaner that fights off that Stubborn, Stingy Defense
John Greco and David Vobora are inactives?
Sam Bradford drops back, sees Laurent Robinson in the open, and he completes the pass for a gain of 28! Oh- Wait, looks like a holding penalty is going to call this one back...(Oh wait; Barron's gone, ignore that last sentence).
That was Dockery
on the missed tackle
You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In *St. Louis* his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill! Period! Win by attrition. Well, *Steven Jackson* was the best.
i have a bad feeling about this
gonna have to score at least 21-24 to win
God Bartell that was OBVIOUS.

1st TD was our blown coverage. That drive is cause of our stupid pass interference. Other than that 20 yd run they’ve done nothing.

Don't get cocky, kid.
Lots of football left to play. The Rams need to keep playing well to win. That defensive goal line stand was good start.
Hahaha
I love Jeff Gordon’s response. I asked in the live P-D game thread if there was any word on Fletcher’s exclusion:
Spags doesn’t grant interviews during the second quarter
Aren’t there other people you could ask besides Spags? I dunno, like their fucking press man? Or anyone associated with the team that works the press booth?

about Vernon Davis. Where have I seen this “let tight end roam free” defense before? Was that a Buddy Ryan thing?
Alright now lets stop them
Sam Bradford drops back, sees Laurent Robinson in the open, and he completes the pass for a gain of 28! Oh- Wait, looks like a holding penalty is going to call this one back...(Oh wait; Barron's gone, ignore that last sentence).
Look for a screen here
Great time for a nisdirection screen to Gore or Davis

Damn.
Kansas City is getting shit on. Oakland style. I guess the Broncos needed to take out their frustration eventually.

Go Rams! Handy Danny TD.

who didn't?
Vernon’s not exactly a ballsy pick
You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In *St. Louis* his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill! Period! Win by attrition. Well, *Steven Jackson* was the best.

Sooooooooo conservative playing for halftime every game. I get it, but it’s hard to get behind as a fan

Yeah.
I think that time it was about field position though.

I guess
but after 9 yards on first down, a quick pass could have gotten the 1st and then we could have run it out without having to give the ball back to San Fran

What was the point of that timeout?

Botched snap on the punt.
Return into FG range. Blocked punt. Anything could have happened. Perhaps Gore breaks that run
Onobun > Gates
3k your first half assessment if you please
"The greatest accomplishment is not in never falling, but in rising again after you fall." - Vince Lombardi
Well, strange opening
Dockery is just not a good enough player for this system. And I don’t know what BFB did, but I hope it was seriously deficient in terms of discipline to warrant handing the 9ers so much yardage in the first half. Kudos to the gameplan offensively. Scoring drive out of the gate, a nice TD drive to Amendola. Like we talked about yesterday on TSR, the run blocking just doesn’t create much. You’re not going to get long Jackson runs without holes, and they’re not there. Losing Saffold makes it that much harder.
But like you said, back to square one. It’s tied up with 30 minutes to go. Time to earn the plaudits.

Here we go
tied at halftime. Who makes the right adjustments? As bad as the Rams have been in coming out for the 2nd half, the staff has to know this is a game they couldn’t afford to produce a similar effort. Gotta come out with something special.

Still don't want to take the chance.
It’s still only one more shot and with how bad our run blocking, blocking in general, has been, I wouldn’t take that risk.

Keys to winning
1) Have to do better on first down (whether running or passing)
2) Need to continue getting Bradford time
3) Need to stop stupid mistakes and penalties
4) Not allow the big play and 3 play 70 yd drives
"The greatest accomplishment is not in never falling, but in rising again after you fall." - Vince Lombardi
Maybe this week will be different and
the Rams will be the team that comes on strong in the 2nd half and win this one
Mentally they cant come out flat and hopefully wont because the score is tied...
as opposed to being up by 2 scores
Tied up at the half. So far so good. Let’s tighten up the secondary and open those lanes for SJax to exploit. Another HDTD. (handy Danny td)

ran all over the place, finally. Moss took one out of the box, at least. I wish we could too.

Here's a random interesting question, at least to me.
Steven Jackson is not having too great of a game right now which is why I say this. So instead of finding a back to replace him do we just load up on the passing game and use Jackson in a lesser capacity and later perhaps get a speedy receiving back.
Onobun > Gates
Get a couple of receivers and a Faulk type back to understudy then replace him
But, surely you are not suggesting replaceing SJaz over one less than steller 1/2 a game
SonGohan!
NOO! the NFL caught him.

Chris Long is killing me. Not sure I can appreciate his play if his uses his super hall of fame powers against us.
