Bradford to Clayton "Breakdown" WK 4

Hey Rams fans! Its VT here working OT for you to get you a breakdown. I appologize if the quality isn't up to par, particularly sound.

This week we'll take a look at the first down throw on third down from Bradford to Clayton.

As Van mentioned earlier this week, Bradford has shined on third down, and looking at this play it's no surprise. Not only has he got the physical tools, but he is mature beyond what any of us would expect.

In this play, he once again orchestrates a beautiful pick from a pre-snap read using cadence to analyze the defense. It's poetry in motion.

Enjoy!

Good stuff

It’s worth mentioning that another key to a play like this is the offensive line. Seattle blitzes both LBs, so the Rams have to pick up six people to give Amendola enough time to screen Clayton into the open. Great play by the team as a whole.
And great stuff from VT as always!

You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In *St. Louis* his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill! Period! Win by attrition. Well, *Steven Jackson* was the best.

PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE!

Don’t ever stop providing these ‘breakdowns’! They’re great!

Go Rams!

Awesome analysis

Again dude, good stuff. Suggestion, refrain from using the word “pick.” A “pick” is illegal in football (offensive pass interference). Instead, Amendola will stop in front of the CB creating a “screen” to allow Clayton to get separation from the CB.

I still can't get over how well...

You break down the play though. Do you coach at any level?

I appreciate it!

Thanks for doing these week after week, VT! Darn…wish we could have heard the cadence (haha). Since I am unable to see the video, I appreciate the descriptive commentary, as well as comments from others…makes it easier to imagine what’s going on. :)

Go Rams...go Sammy B!!!

Really??

Quit over coaching….err…over analyzing……Danny was going to do the pick all along, THE FORMATION held the LB in place……you ASSUME he was going to Blitz……don’t over-think the other coach

Great breakdown as always! Thanks VT!

… And even if VT was overanalyzIng, you have to give credit to Amendola for making things easier for Clayton with that improvised block.
