Big time Bradford named NFL Rookie of the Week
St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford has been named the NFL Rookie of the Week for his week 4 dismantling of the Seattle Seahawks.
Bradford was also up for the FedEx NFL Air Player of the Week, but that went to Denver's Kyle Orton.
It's good to see the kid getting his due, and I suspect he'll get plenty more before the year's over. Offensive Rookie of the Year is a very distinct possibility.
Bradford was also #1 on the St. Louis Sports Power Rankings at SBN St. Louis.
Sam Bradford has made professional football relevant in Saint Louis for the first time in six years, and it took him four short weeks. His play has been remarkable, especially considering he still doesn't have a number one receiver or a "good" offensive line, and faces blitz after blitz. He has the demeanor of Lee Majors and the looks of a young Tom Selleck. His skin makes newborns jealous. Women want to be him, men want to be with him—yes, you read that right. He's that good.
Be sure to hit us up on the Facebook too.

thats a bit to far
If we were 9ers fans living in the gay bay then a statement, such as that, would be fitting. I’ll be taking NO balls deep for anyone, thank you very much. Let’s keep it on the straight and narrow with an extra emphasis on straight ,OK

No, this is serious business.

I think a South Park reference is appropriate
(In a lyrical prose)
“[DevsLaRams] went into the closet. Hes in the closet. Just standing in the closet. Come out of the closet [DevsLaRams]. Just come out of the closet. And then I get out my gun!….”
serious? homo humor?
Alright, so you want to lollicock and a cocklate bar? Eh? Some yummy for your tummy? Perhaps a bag of cock n candy?

GD. take a joke.
jeez its all in good humor. If you can’t take humor then send him a link to espn of nfl.com that says it. jeez some ppl cant take jokes. WHY SO SERIOUS?????
First off, I don’t appear to be a cigarette, so you seem to be mistaken about this ‘fag’ thing, sing as far as I know, tobacco products can’t type.
Second… Dude, learn how to take a fricking joke. If I do recall YOU were the one who made the GIANT issue of it being somehow homosexual. The rest of us just read the above article and found it humorous like those weird Old Spice commercials.

Can I take exception??
I think it takes a heck of an OL to neutralize that “Blitz after Blitz after Blitz” comment. If Sam didn’t have more than a (“less than good”) OL he would lead the league in being sacked, and at the bottom in passing yards. We have a really good OL IMO.
Agreed.
I really like this Saffold – Bell – Brown – Goldberg/Greco – Smith line-up.
"For Better or for Worse; 'Till Death Do Us Part"
GO RAMS !!!
i know
i mean he is doing pretty good for a young guys and has room to grow but is for sure my least favorite of the online.
Smith looks good on running plays to me...
… On Jacksons 42 yard run, go back and watch…smith has his guy 10 yards up field.
oh no.,... i agree he has flashes of real strength especially against the run
I just don’t think he is near “second overall” flash YET….. he is pretty good just not showing me potential to be “great” yet but he has time to grow still so we’ll see.
Yeah...
… I know what you mean. He was going to be THE LT and follow in the footsteps of great Ram LTs like Pace and Slater (Best to ever play the game IMO). But it didnt really happen like that. But this group has a a ways to go, he might just be a late bloomer.
They're not without their talents
And they’re definitely not bad (Hi Da Bears!), I just wouldn’t go so far as to call the unit as a whole “good.” Adequate, maybe? Decent?

Stupidest thing I've ever read...
[H]e still doesn’t have a number one receiver or a “good” offensive line, and faces blitz after blitz.
Mark Clayton is on pace for 1,200 yards, 8 TD, and 60 first downs. That doesn’t count as a number 1 receiver?
And this isn’t 2007. The Rams offensive line isn’t bad anymore. Last year it was fine, and this year it’s really good. When stupid people try to pick on the Rams offense and sound like they know something, the pull the “o-line sucks” line right out of their ass and expect people to believe them. The reason Sam Bradford has been good against the blitz is because the O-line is playing really well.
Yeah I agree there...
…I would however rate the oline last year as really terrible. I think now it is good and getting better. I actually think they are even better than they look, but since we have a rookie quarterback, opposing teams are bringing the heat much more than they normally would because they think they wont get burnt. As Bradford progresses and starts burning teams deep, this will stop and the Ram oline will be one of the best in football I think.
the o line is good but i agree that we still dont have a number 1 receiver
mark clayton can be a fantastic number 2 but we need a big tall physical go to guy like andre johnson, megatron, larry fitz, etc. no one is scheming on how to stop 5 10 clayton. we should still target a guy like aj green in the draft,
I agree, you have to either have height or speed...
… That is why Amendola should factor into the game more. I dont care if people think he should just be a slot receiver, they should have a play action where he turns on the jets and outruns his coverage. If Clayton gets the double, this should be an easy six for the rams.
Amendola is the key to getting the rest of our receivers catching passes without a DB draped over their back on the short and intermediate routes where the Rams are most effective.
If that is the stupidest thing you have ever read
you have not read much of my work. I write a lot stupider shit than that.
(Also, reminder to myself: apparently Rams fans don’t get self-deprecating humor.)
"In 2035, 25 young men will be able to call themselves world champions. Some of those guys haven’t even been born yet. And some of them are Asian." -Mike Shannon
And, again, I dind't call the O-Line bad!

We're on the same team...
Um, can’t we agree to disagree without calling each other names?
Go Rams...go Sammy B!!!
yeh Mark Clayton isn't a #1 receiver
he didn’t say it was bad he said it wasn’t good… its probably average or above average
I think we finally have a solid nickname for Sam.
Bigtime Bradford.
Nice one, Van.
I can take a beating ... I'm a Rams fan.
I actually like that nickname
I can go with that one…
I should be working right now...
+1 Big Time

Congratulations, Sam...way to go!
It has been a great team effort so far. Keep it up, guys! And thanks for all the excitement!
Go Rams...go Sammy B!!!
Sam!
I did vote for Sam a lot in the air player of the week too but Kyle Orton definitely deserved it, outstanding game by him against Tennessee.
I'm starting to like Pat Shurmur.
How much do we love sam bradford????
So glad we picked him number 1… The man is a machine…
