Should you start or sit Steven Jackson?
I had several people e-mail me to ask about this, so I thought I'd take care of it in a post...for everyone to share. I was away from the computer last night, doing this. Should you start St. Louis Rams RB Steven Jackson? It's a good question. And I hope you're asking me based on knowledge of the Rams and not a decade of fantasy football futility.
So should you start or sit Steven Jackson? My two cents below the jump...really making you pay for this huh?
Jackson was listed as questionable on the injury report this week. He practiced in a limited role on Friday. He and the coaches will make a decision based on how Jackson feels this morning warming up for the game.
As far as a fantasy roster decision, you're probably best to sit him. There was kind of a psychological acceptance of playing this game without Jackson, in both the team and Jackson's comments.
Even if Jackson does play, Seattle has one of the better run defenses in the league, so far.
Jackson has never had a 100 yard rushing game against the Seahawks in his career, though he has topped 90 a few times. In 11 games against the Seahawks, Jackson has averaged 4.13 yards per carry and totaled 7 TDs, way more than any other NFC West team.

If we just used him for play action
Then eventaully the play-action will stop working.
I miss the good old days of Warner to Holt
I think you gotta sit him...
…I think it is just a ploy to get Seattle to waste their time game planning for him.
Sit him.
It’s easy to re-aggravated a groin strain. He could be out for another week or 2 if he starts.
He's playing
They just said it on ESPN
Shurmur, your career is in 3rd and long. Don't run a draw.
Onobun > Gates
More details
He’s starting, but they’re going to be cautious with him, so he won’t get as many touches as usual probably.
