Well shoot guys. Who broke a mirror in the Rams Locker Room 4-5 years ago? Adversity can make a team strong, but we've had more than our share. Sometimes the volume of injuries is just too much to overcome. I have never been a big fan of Donnie Avery, but we needed him anyway. Clayton was a joy to watch, but he's done. Now DX is having a 4th or 5th knee surgery?? Get this dude out of the NFL and on disability. So much for our receivers. I guess we still have Super Amendola, Gibson and the "Invisible Man" Robinson.
Big ol' Jason Smith got his soft head whacked in practice and now he's out. I'm tellin' ya that susceptibility to concussions = short NFL career. We could end up with yet another wasted #1 draft pick and a big hole in the O-line. And the weaker the line, the more likely Sam is to get hit.
Our main offensive weapon, SJax had finger surgery this week. I know everybody's thinkin' "there's nothing wrong with his legs." That's great. But defenders will be looking to tweak that finger for him. We all know it.
Every time I look at our secondary somebody's banged up; Atogwe, Butler, et.al. Add in the loss of Fred Robbins on the line and our inherent weakness at OLB, and we gotta problem defense.
This team will have to play on sheer guts this week. Granted the Panthers aren't giants and we get them at home, but we easily lose this one simply due to lack of skilled players. Please let us get to the break at 4-4 and try to heal up a little bit. Sheesh!
