Who is St. Louis Rams OT Renardo Foster?

It has been confirmed that the St. Louis Rams will be without starting RT Jason Smith against the Carolina Panthers this week. Starting in his place will be Renardo Foster.

And who is Renardo Foster?

Foster entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent, signed by the Atlanta Falcons while current Rams GM Billy Devaney was a personnel guy there. Foster earned some playing with the Falcons that season. The Rams grabbed him off waivers last year and released him as part of their final roster cut down. He spent most of 2009 on the Saints' practice squad.

Foster, a Louisville product and All Big East lineman, is big at 6'7" and 333 lbs. Don't have much of a scouting report on the guy, but did come across this at Pro Football Talk:

...started two games as a rookie with the Falcons in 2007 before tearing his anterior cruciate ligament.

Foster held up against New York Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora and New Orleans Saints defensive end Will Smith as a rookie, not allowing any sacks.

We'll see how it goes this week.

DX to be out a few weeks for Knee scoping

Brandon McCrae broke leg accoding to rumors so cannot bring him up.

Onobun also listed as out according to injury report.

Leaves Danny, Gibson, LR, Gilyard, Fells, Bajema & Uh-oh.

SB will have limited targets Sunday :-(

What the hell is going on?

I turn away from the website for a couple of hours and all these freakin’ injuries! Maybe we should just stop having practice and wait till Sunday to beat up our opponents instead of each other! Damn!!!!

Just a suggestion, but there are a lot of college level hacks that could write a simple routine that “reads” all posts and will execute on repetitive character counts (for example 3 or more “$” signs) and then will re-direct to the wherever, even the Seahags or 49er’s blog site. Just kidding on the re-direct site, but it will stop the spammers. Just sayin’
