Rams DT Fred Robbins responds to the loss
St. Louis Rams DT Fred Robbins shared his thoughts on the Rams' loss this week over on his blog.
We talked about missed tackles earlier today, and Robbins notes that same problem.
It was a tough loss to Tampa. They came out in the second half and made a few more big plays than we did. There were a few crucial plays that could have gotten us off the field, but we had some poor tackling and couldn’t take advantage.
The good news is that Robbins sees a team ready to respond positively.
The good thing about it is that when we watched the film, I noticed that all of the things we did wrong were correctible. We can go back to practice and eliminate our mistakes, so next game will be cleaner. The young guys here responded well, no one is hanging their head, nobody is down.
Responding to rough outings has been a strong point for the Rams so far this season. I hate that it keeps coming back to missed opportunities, but that Spagnuolo has the team responding well does at least circumstantially indicate that the team is heading in the right direction.

Back!
They are headed in the right direction . Back to LA
Call me Crazy but.......
Looking into our schedule I see 5 wins with a possible 6. Yeah I know what you are thinking and… well…. take a look for yourself. The 9ers have been imploding so if we can SWEEP our divisional games that only leave to more wins…. can you see them? …. SO DO I
Go Sams GO
The only thing comparable to a Rams win is a 49er loss!
nobody will call you crazy if you see 5 wins...
in fact that’s (counts fingers…) just two more wins… and we play the Panthers and are in the NFC West and have 4 more home games left (3-1 at home)….
yeh… i’ll call you crazy if you see 8-9 wins, but its possible…

I was talking about 5 MORE WINS, sweep the division and 2 more
there i said it! the ultimate optimist!
The only thing comparable to a Rams win is a 49er loss!
oh...
in that case you are crazy! (5 more wins…. 3+5 = 8…… 8-4 = 4… so you think we will go 5-4 down the stretch i guess…)
the way i predict a win total is amount is count the winnable games and then i’ll divide it in half to find the true total (technically all are winnable, but I’m going to go with what I see coming)…
Winnable: CAR, @SF, ATL, @ARI, KC, SF, @SEA
I’m just praying: @DEN, @NO (and yes i’m doing this because we are 0-3 on road)…
I estimate we win half of the home games (probably carolina and san fransico) and win one of the road games (probably… arizona?)…
So I guess I’m predicting three more wins at 6-10 and a good chance at 7-9, but 8-8 more than a few things will have to go right for us

this week won't change my opinion personally
i expect to beat the panthers at home of all things…. (the losses to Tampa and Detroit had one thing in common: road game)
now its what we do against the NFC West is what will determine it for me (for instance going 8-8 but losing all 4 NFC West games is much much worse than going 8-8 and only winning the NFC West games [and one more i guess])

that was obvious; let me re-phrase
i’d rather go 7-9 and only win NFC West games than go 8-8 and not win one NFC West game… (extremely unlikely i know…)

Didn't you guys see
Denver lose 59-14 to Oakland this week?!
And new Orleans to Arizona? They are definitely all winnable or losable considering who’ve we beat and lost to already this season.

its been up and down all season
but fortunately they have responded to losses well and play great at home. also carolina blows. so im hoping this team comes out this sunday with a lot of fire and destroys the panthers going into the bye with a 4-4 record. in the meantime, the seahawks need to lose. the 49ers are almost buried and i dont believe max hall is ready to lead a team anywhere right now. i still worry about this teams ability to move the ball through the air and close games. but every team has their weaknesses and a team as young as ours is only going to get better
The rams players shouldn't be down
They should be angry:
1) Angry at themselves for not executing. Especially you #8. Take a gut check. Go out there and throw with some confidence. You played poorly against the worst defensive line in the NFL. Especially you O-Line. False starts and penalties in a tame away crowd is no excuse. Shore it up.
2) You Pat Shurmur and Coach Spags. For the third week in a row you went conservative in the second half and it cost you the game. Look at other teams and benchmark. Get it together. How is that you get your players to overachieve, but you yourselves underachieve? Fix it.
