Rams add CB Quincy Butler
Shoring up their potential woes at cornerback, the St. Louis Rams have claimed a familiar face off waivers, CB Quincy Butler.
Butler was played 14 games for the Rams in 2009, starting in 7 of them following the loss of Bradley Fletcher. He was released following the preseason this year. Butler should be plenty familiar with the Rams defensive system and gives them another experienced hand at nickel back. Hopefully, he won't be filling in for Ron Bartell, who is dealing with a shoulder injury.
The Rams also added LB David Nixon, recently of the Texans, to their practice squad and released LB Mortty Ivy.

When Bartell can't lift his left arm today
and most of our other corners and safeties are hurting, it can’t hurt to have another body we can throw out there in an emergency.
The only good thing the TB game brought to me
is me yelling “Uh-Oh!” every time Uh-Oh got the ball.
And that those British announcers couldn’t say his name

Quincy Butler is really good.
I haven’t seen anybody else who is as good at kicking a ball into the endzone, then dribbling it like a basketball before letting the other team have it. He’s right up there with Danny “Too Hand Touch” Gorrer as one of the best Rams cornerbacks in the past few years.
