Rams RB Steven Jackson had surgery on his finger
Adding to the pain of a game they gave away, the St. Louis Rams had plenty of injury news to dispense this afternoon.
The big news is that RB Steven Jackson had surgery on his left ring finger. Spagnuolo was optimistic, delivering the news in his presser today, that Jackson will be ready to play this week, but they'll be watching closely.
Jackson assured fans he'll be ready to play this week. From his Twitter feed:
It has been a busy day.Yes, I had surgery on my ring finger but I shouldn't miss a beat. I'm not married so I'm covered there too.
SS James Butler has a sprained MCL and will miss this week. This hurts the Rams in terms of depth, but they have shown an ability to play well with Craig Dahl, the incumbent starter, in the game. CB Ron Bartell has an injured shoulder. The Rams are giving him a day to see how it feels before deciding anything. Keep an eye on this one, losing Bartell could be costly; the Panthers, this week's opponent, passed for 300+ yards on the 49ers yesterday.
DTs Darrell Scott has an ankle injury and DT Fred Robbins will have a CT scan on his toe. Both are day-to-day.
Not really serious injury issues, but a high price to pay considering the outcome of the game.

Ouch
At least the LB’s and TE’s are getting healthy (the rainbow in the rain). However, the defense sounds pretty banged up right now and could use some rest. I wish the bye week came a week early!
What about Fletcher?
Didn’t he hurt his hamstring?
Apparently it was just dehydration
Same with J.L. I think they’ll be fine with some rest (at least I hope!)
