Well, that explains it...

Head coach Raheem Morris of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rubbed a little salt in the Rams' wound.

Tampa Bay got a much needed win for themselves yesterday, with plenty of help from the St. Louis Rams. But maybe the Rams shouldn't be too shocked by the loss, after all the Buccaneers are the best team in the NFC.

What? You hadn't heard that? Well, just ask Tampa Bay head coach Raheem Morris, who said this following the game:

We're the best team in the NFC. Yeah, I said it. We're the best team in the NFC.

Ouch. Somehow I don't think a last minute comeback against the Rams qualifies you as the best.

That makes this loss even harder to suffer.

The man

is saying they are the best,I say they are lucky the Rams coaches play calling in the 2nd half gave Tampa the win. What the hell were the coaches thinking, another half of sitting on the ball really bad. This game shouldn’t have even been close.

Totally agree

It’s like we go into sleep mode when we have a lead. There is no killer instinct with these guys. They need to learn to put teams away. What is really sad is we should be 6-1.

Rams gave away game

Bucs did not win the game, but still got the “w” in the left-hand column.

Rams are very disappointing yet again this season. Not enough impact, game changing players on defense or offense!

Next year, look at that kid outta Iowa State for a back-up rb slot. We also need some db’s and wr’s. Another impact linebacker and DE too.

So much talent needed.

something wrong with Darby as the backup?

he’s been running hard this season. pretty good hands, good out of the backfield, great on the screens.

yeah darby has looked a lot better this season

we should focus first on a number 1 WR, OLB and DE/DT

seriously.

how many penalties did they have this week? I know that 2nd and G from the 40 is the mark of a great team.

Life is tough, but it's tougher if you're stupid.

Too bad they're playing the Cardinals next week.

I was looking forward to some team sticking that quote right down their throats.

Now, now gents.

Raheem is simply doing what all good head coaches do and that is to motivate his team. He wasn’t bagging on the rest of the teams in the NFL by trying to get his players to THINK that way. I mean, Tampa was bad for years before we came around and finally started winning. Raheem is going to do whatever it takes to fire up his team.

As for bad play calling or deserving a “W”, the team that wanted it the most got it. You guys had the game put away before halftime and let Tampa scheme something to stop your RBs.

Just be glad you’re not still in LA where the Rams were neither loved or appreciated. Fire Georgia Frontierre!

Oh wait…..never mind.

Rah Rah

I guess Coach Morris has watched as much Bucs football as the rest of Tampa Bay, for you’d have to be either delirious or extremely uninformed to call his team the best in the conference.
