Random Ramsdom: 10/25/2010
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to watch the game yesterday as all the feeds I stumbled upon were turned off thanks to the beautiful trademarking of the NFL. As such, do not expect much analysis, as I really have no idea what happened, but from the box score, it sure seems like a heartbreaker.
Hopefully this will be the last Brett Favre at Lambeau story ever. Because you know, he use to play there and stuff.
You have been weighed, you have been measured, and you have been found wanting. Thank you Mark (from Ramsgab) for reminding me of A Knights Tale. I love that movie.
Note to the coaches: You grades aren't pretty. Everyone except Steven Jackson must report to detention.
Bernie over at the Post dispatch believes the Rams choked. What a wild accusation that is!
Sando has his wrap-up for the game. At least the Rams are playing at home next week.
That's all for this morning. Imagine if football was only two quarters. The Rams would be looking pretty darn good right about now.

Readjustments in second halves
We have got to learn to adjust to their adjustments after half. I dont know if it is pure bull headed ignorance that Shurmur dwells on what worked in first half or what. Here Shurmur, get us the lead in the first half and then do exactly the opposite play calling in the second. To those on here defending the coaching, what game did you watch? Sure the players didn’t execute some things but straight gut runs into nine man boxes over and over? We have to get a kill mentality quick because this gutless playcalling is hard to watch. If San Diego had 3 more minutes last week it would have been the same result. We aren’t saying have Sam throw 40 yard passes every play, but where were the screens and seam routes? If they keep Sam from throwing to protect him mistakes for his psyche then its already dead. He is a rookie so let him lose the game on his arm and he might surprise everyone and put the finishing touches on a game which goes a whole lot further to developing his confidence. Interceptions and mistakes will come but this kid is too smart to be tied down by Shurmurs vanilla calls.

what are you talking about
We threw the ball more in the second half than we did the first. last week we crucified Pat because he sat on the ball and ran it. This time he opens up a bit of the passing game leading to quick 3 and outs. I wish he would have used the same method he did last week, we beat the chargers because they didn’t have those 3 min you speak of. Why, because we ran the clock with the lead. if we would have taken a min or two off this week, we would have a W. This game was on the players, coaches did all that they could. Coaches can’t redirect Bradfords wayward passes, can’t make atogwe get that pick, and they sure can’t run on the field and stop josh freemans pedestrian runs. Pat called a decent game, he can’t help that our players decided to not show up mentally.
the bucs switched to a base 8 man front in the second half
and went basically cover 1 or cover 0 the entire way. in other words, man coverage across the board, with everyone else in to stop the run.
Look the blame should be spread out evenly, but most of it goes on Bradford and the receivers. I mean they couldn’t execute any plays….Shurmur did call pass plays. But Bradford missed a WIDE OPEN Robinson by like 5 yards didn’t he? Gibson missed a catch as well, and I think he overthrew Amendola on one.
It don't matter how you move the chains
Rams blew chunks in a stool in the 2nd half, nuff said about the most inconsistent team in the league.
No unity yet
No killer instincts yet
Don’t want it bad enough yet
All of the above are ingredients of a losing franchise.
What's your point?
Do you just need a forum to spew hate? Would you prefer we all said “you’re right, we suck.” …?
I can take a beating ... I'm a Rams fan.
