If the NFL loves its big qbs so much they should bend the trade
deadline for the Rams and give them a star WR
Sam the MAN!
we need minimum 3 more points to win

On the bright side.
What Bradford is doing today, is what Feeley would do on a good day.
Onobun > Gates
What the hell is going on with the fucking offense?
I am irate. This is the absolute same exact bullshit from last week. 17 points at the half, then NOTHING. Unacceptable.

Which was already a 1st down, so it moved back from there.
You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In *St. Louis* his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill! Period! Win by attrition. Well, *Steven Jackson* was the best.

Disappointing
This team isn’t ready to take the next step.
we need to learn how to win in the 2nd half
instead of just trying not to lose
Unfortunately
Spags likes it that way. Bradford was awful today, so he shares fault too, but Spags has to get it out of his mind that you can just grind out games from the start of the second half.
oh well for me at least
we aren’t winning the NFC West so I just care about rams games
by stlcardsfan4 on Oct 24, 2010 3:14 PM CDT up reply actions
This falls on the offense. Sorry
Once again we were playing not to lose in the 2nd half
Sam Bradford
Spags is the worst fucking coach in the world.
Why the fuck did he call all his timeouts in the first half and let the Fucanneers score? Worst fucking decision I’ve ever seen.
way to not over react too
we’re still ahead of where we thought they’d be on the year. Inconsistancy form the offense today……..Bradford didn’t play well…..that’s what happens with young teams and young players
by CoachConnors on Oct 24, 2010 3:15 PM CDT up reply actions
Young teams should still know how to fucking tackle, and a head coach needs to know
how to handle his fucking timeouts. You normally try to not let the other team score, but Spags didn’t really care.

by Ramfest on Oct 24, 2010 3:13 PM CDT reply actions 1 recs
This one comes down to the coaching
we did the same thing we did last week: we retreated into a conservative shell in the second half and this time it cost us
i thought the worst coaching was the use of the timeouts before the second half
gave them enough time to get a field goal.
The one time we should have played conservatively we didn’t
but -
to be fair, bradford couldn’t complete a damn pass. we didn’t have many options.

QB play cost the Rams
Freeman made plays; Sam played like a rookie. He was never comfortable and kept locking on to receivers.
And defensive players
who can catch interceptions.
Sam missed them.
WRs got open, only issue was why the hell we throw fades to Gibson when we have Danario?
but Sam played like a rookie, don’t hate on the WRs/
but I do want AJ Green.
Bradford to Onobun!
Said this last week
Shurmur you f**king pussy, 17 pts is not enough to win. Grow some balls and go for the jugular. Another very winnable game lost because we dont take second half chances. Last week was 5 red arrows down this week 20, go somewhere else Shurmur so I dont have to rip my gair out every second half. They adjust we do the same damn thing. No pts for 2 and a half quarters. We lost this game at the Quarterback position.
Period.
Now, I am not saying that Sam Bradford lost the game single-handedly. He didn’t. But their all consuming desire to protect him from ever making a mistake destroyed any chance we had to move the ball in the second half to protect the lead.
They have to take chances sometimes. They have to throw the ball downfield more than once a game. You cannot win very often with an ultra-conservative gameplan, because this happens. Precisely this. They dared us to pass. They dared us to make a throw downfield. They had 9 in the box playing bump and run on the outside. And instead we played right into their hands the whole game.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to hang Pat Shurmur in effigy. Again.

When the Bucs are clearly keying in on the run, and they were,
you must alter your gameplan; Jackson was going nowhere in the second half. How can you defend the playcalling? We scored ZERO points in the second half! Obviously what they were doing was not working.
Do they have a piss poor run defense when they’re selling out against the run? The evidence is against you there.
They had an excellent game plan in the first half, that took advantage of what the Bucs were doing, and exploited their personnel, running the ball to the outside, and hitting short passes to the outside. I’m not disputing that, and I’m happy to give credit where credit is due.
However, when the Bucs totally changed up what they were doing, we refused to take what they were giving us, which was moderate length passes in the middle of the field. I’m not asking for bombs 40 yards downfield, just 10 yard skinny posts to the TE.
The call that stands out to me was that run on 3rd and 11
I know some of you liked the call, but I thought it was atrocious. We absolutely needed that conversion, and there’s no way you count on a run play to give you 11; it happens every once in a while, but is far less likely to give you that first then a pass. To me that call summed up everything I hate about Shurmur and his playcalling. We pretty much lost the game right then.
agreed
shurmur is getting predictably cute – calling runs when you shouldn’t, and calling pass plays when we need a few yards. he’s enamored of himself, it seems.

Steven Jackson 22 carries
I wouldn’t have minded a few more when we needed time off the clock with the lead
This game is all on the coaching staff
Sure Bradford sucked today, but that’s no excuse to call plays like a damn pussy. There was no aggressiveness whatsoever. No attempt period at a deep throw. You have a 6’5" receiver, throw it to him more than twice. Shurmur, your conservative antics in the second half led to the defensive collapse. There are 4, count ‘em, one two three FOUR quarters in a football game, not TWO. Pat only calls “good” plays in the first half. Second half rolls around, and it’s like he doesn’t even have a playbook. I’m sorry, but he needs to go. Immediately.

They had one deep throw
In the first half that went incomplete. I liked that play. Keep the D honest. Beyond that, one throw went longer than 15 yards, which was on a 7 man blitz.
Where the hell did the offense go i the second half!?!?!? It just shows that if you stop jackson we don’t have the receiver talent to score points.

Stop putting all that pressure on the D
Score second half points and give them a rest. Great D if the dont spend 25 min in the second half on the field. Someone kick Shurmur in his shriveled up balls for me, Please.
I dont wanna hear about the coaching
This one’s on the players.
Bradford missed a lot of throws. Once again dropped INT’s. Just gotta suck this 1 up and learn from it. Just another 1 there for the taking and we didn’t. These kind of losses come back to bite if (IF) we are in the playoff talk. Could easily be 6-1 , 5-2 at worst.

well our offense has improved from last year, hopefully we can make an even larger improvement
next year with LT and QB talent in place.
Sam the MAN!
We will, we just desperately need an infusion of talent at WR.
Along with (hopefully) getting rid of Shurmur, I think that will solve most of our offensive issues.
and add a stud next to Lauriniaitis too

tackling was so weak today
that really irritates me like nothing else. Tackling should be the most basic of basics

bills looking like they will lose off a fumble.
There’s something there between good teams and bad teams other than talent.
Sam the MAN!
thats why when the clean house they have to get rid of the guys who are used to losing
Edpjr knows about this

Its one thing to stop runs with a strong D line, but if they get to the next level like today, and you STILL can't stop them....
hence my wanting an OLB over DT in the next draft.
1 tackling machine/pass rusher, please.
PEOPLE
Out of 7 games this year we have only 1 game that we just STUNK. I still think we have a decent football team. Everytime we lose its “fire him” or “get rid of him”. I’m not saying that we shouldn’t be better or we should’nt capitilize on our opportunities. But it looks like the whole NFC is struggling. I’ll prefer wins anyday , but compared to last year , I don’t feel nowhere near as bad as I did last year after those blowouts. GO RAMS !!!!!!
