Danario Alexander gets 4-year deal: Random Ramsdom, 10/19
Today is the NFL trade deadline, and we'll have more related content throughout the day. Let's get a fine Tuesday started with some Random Ramsdom.
Steven Jackson. What else can you say about the guy? Jackson was sent into the huddle late in the game and asked to remind his teammates just what exactly they had to do with 3 minutes remaining and up by 3 points.
We had the character and the will to fight 'em off. This game here is going to do a lot for us later in the season.
Speaking of the second half...too conservative? Nah, says Spagnuolo, they were just trying to establish the run.
On the injury list, CB Justin King and S Darian Stewart had hamstring issues that will keep them out this week. Ron Bartell has a wrist bruise and is day-to-day, as is Mardy Gilyard. Danario Alexander is sore, but feeling good.
LBs Chris Chamberlain and David Vobora are likely to return this week against Tampa Bay.
In response to numerous head shots in week 6, the NFL will announce today that first time offenders will receive a suspension. Right call or overreaction?
The Rams inked Danario Alexander to a four-year deal when they signed him from the practice squad, which ought to tell you just how much he figures into their plans going forward.
RB Chauncey Washington has been waived.

i like the suspension rule. they need to tweek it a little and review like they do in hockey to see if it was intentional or just an accident.
Yeah I'm worried about any big changes
just because this was an unusually violent weekend. Take the Dunta Robinson hit on DeSean Jackson. It was absolutely brutal, and both guys got concussions from the hit. But it wasn’t dirty. It was just football. I don’t want to see those kind of hits get a fine or a suspension, but the other headhunting hits, sure.
You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In *St. Louis* his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill! Period! Win by attrition. Well, *Steven Jackson* was the best.

Agree 100% - Great, LEGAL hit by Robinson
The hit on Heap was ridiculous though. There’s no need for that.
I’m worried about knee-jerk reactions.
I can take a beating ... I'm a Rams fan.

Take my word
Harrison will need to watch his knees next game. After running his mouth and head hunting, there will be players reminding him that you can’t get away with that kind of shit in the NFL.
Yeah
that was suspendable

Totally agree
the Dunta hit was bad, but it was brutal just because of the force he put behind it. It unfortunately happens. The first Harrison hit was questionable, but the second one was just plain dirty. There was no need to do that.
Sam Bradford drops back, sees Laurent Robinson in the open, and he completes the pass for a gain of 28! Oh- Wait, looks like a holding penalty is going to call this one back...(Oh wait; Barron's gone, ignore that last sentence).
I guess since two guys in the secondary will be out this week
they will either promote someone or sign someone else. I wonder also if they will trade for that roster spot…
Personally
The new rule is garbage. You know what happens when you get hit real hard running across the middle? You be more careful running across the middle. There was a quote used on espn last night that summed up my thoughts completely. “Football is a privilege” if you don’t want to play then don’t play, if your too small to take hits-then your too small to take hits. This whole, “we need to make football safe because the little guys need a chance” BS needs to stop. You don’t see medical/law schools lowering their requirements because stupid people aren’t getting in, you don’t see the NBA lowering the hoop because short people can’t dunk, and we shouldn’t see big hitters being suspended because little guys get hurt. Losing a lot of faith in what’s going on here, can’t wait till Goodell retires so someone can rescind these BS qb hit penalties, pass interference penalties, ‘launching’, running into the kicker, etc. etc.
gah this is such BS
Julio Jones for Rams 2011....NOT Devier Posey!!!
No, they need to make football safe
because ex-players are turning into jello.
Some of the penalties are shit, I agree, but there isn’t any reason to do what some players are doing.

The NFL rules are decent.
We just need to make sure the refs don’t overreact.
Incidental helmet contact is not punishable.

For guaranteed picks every week look into the Baron Capper on www.bettorbelieveit.com. I have been following the guy for a while and he is 6-1 in MLB playoff picks so far and 15-5 in last 20 football picks. The customer service on the site is legit too.
