St. Louis Rams vs San Francisco 49ers

Week 17, January 3, 2010

Edward Jones Dome, St. Louis, MO

Here we are, another season, mercifully, ends today. For the Rams, the real work starts with a thorough look at the roster, who played well, who gets another shot, who figures into the plans for next season. All those questions and more are what Devaney, Spagnuolo and all of us will be asking as the winter turns to spring. It's been a bit of a trying season, knowing that there's hope so close, suffering through one more looong losing year.

And as the Rams go forward, they'll get one last glimpse of the past today when the great Isaac Bruce takes the field for what will probably be the last game of an accomplished career. Bruce was with the Rams when they moved to St. Louis, suffered through those terrible early seasons in the Gateway City, was an essential part of a Super Bowl Champion and watched the team backslide. He is with the 49ers, a disappointment and a lesson for the Rams as they build a new organization.

We'll have plenty to talk about in the weeks ahead. Let's enjoy one more game. GO RAMS!!
