Tidbits+ You Pick'Em Divisional Results
The Results are in! But before I get to them, there are a couple things that have been lingering on my mind that I need to get out..
- The Rams need to sign Mr. Bruce to a one day contract so he can retire a Ram (should he of course choose to do so). Anything less then that should be considered a slap in the face.
- The Rams need to spread the wealth this draft. With so many needs, they hopefully will go for a best player available approach. Guard? Tight End? OLB? CB? The Rams will hopefully not reach for anyone like they did last year (Keith Null). Even if you like the guy, there is no sense in jumping the gun. If everyone thinks he's an undrafted at best player, don't snag him in the 6th round. That's what you traded Tye Hill for...remember?
So, as I said, the results are in. These aren't cumulative- just this weekend (you need to build the suspense for the champ!). Needless to say, it's ugly. Two people had perfect scores this week (there are a handful that snagged three right...and quite a few who completely blanked).
Winner:
Sergey606 - 4 wins
brandonbirkhead@yahoo.com - 4 wins
Against the Spread:
RaptorsHQ - 3 wins
The championship round will be up next..expect more tiebreakers, just for fun.
More on You Pick'Em later this week (Thursday most likely...It's all fun and games until you start lab classes). Enjoy your Tuesday nights!

Something on my mind about wasting picks
… it seems we have been drafting players and then moving them away from their natural positions (See Carriker, J Smith).
Here’s an idea: How about we draft Suh and KEEP him at DT.. I now that sounds ludicrous… after all, Carriker will be back and we really need to give him a chance… not to mention Gary Gibson, so Suh should try DE for sure .
Please chime in guys… don’t our past positional decisions burn you a bit?

Yes, It Drives Me Nuts
Nothing beats a natural fit. I don’t have stats to back me up but there are a lot of players that change spots for various reasons and I’d be willing to bet most don’t end up making an impact.
Some DE’s move to OLB because they don’t have the size to stay on the line. Many CB’s can’t cover well enough for the NFL level, so they move to safety. QB’s moving to WR is actually fairly common and may work out for the best more often than any other position switch.
For me, nothing beats Warren Sapp going from Tight End to D Tackle….that’s just crazy. (not sure if Sapp’s change was completely in college)

that reminds me of a good joke Coach
this pirate walks into a bar with this hugh steering wheel down his pants.
the bartender takes a look and asks “What’s with the steering wheel?”
the pirate replys “Arr, it’s drivin me nuts!”

The only reason why he is above is because he put up his picks earlier
other then that, I cannot say!

To answer the poll
We have aprox. $33 million in open money this coming year. I hope we use our money and all our picks wisely.
Boom!
