Laurent Robinson - Done for the year

The associated press is reporting that Laurent Robinson will miss the remainder of the season with a high right ankle sprain and a fractured fibula.  This is exactly what the Rams didn't need as Robinson was becoming the go to WR so far this season.  Donnie Avery and Burton will have to step it up in Robinson's absence.  The Rams can't catch a break (no pun intended) this season and will need everyone to step it up a notch.  The Rams will also probably have to look elsewhere to sign another WR to our already thin receiving unit.

This is the worst news I could have heard.

He was becoming my favorite and Bulger’s favorite. Hopefully he can come back next season and be successful again. I was just saying the Burton should get more opportunities, but I did not want this to be the way it happened.

SHURMUR NEEDS TO GO, Avery needs to get it going.

Come on

Just when you think losing a game is bad you get a injury like this. But on the bright side we know he can play and is a value to are offense and will give some of the depth a chance to see if their worthy of being on are team. A free agent signing is a must this off season i’ll even give Marshall or any of these troubled receivers a shot i think spags can straitn them out (salary cap pending)

But this is the 2nd consecutive season Robinson's missed due to injury (only been healthy once).

But he is signed for another season.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

soft, little, not any good.

“No one finds the sideline faster than Marvin Harrison.”

plus, he’s not a good “role model” for the youngsters. Personally, i’d rather stick with Avery, Burton, Martin, and Amendola than to bring in that over-the-hill midget when his presence is going to help absolutely nothing.

Besides, don’t you find it curious that even with Anthony Gonzalez out until after Week 6, the Colts have absolutely no interest in signing Harrison (and have said so publically)? I think they had enough of him and we all should take note of that.

I don't understand...

why every free agent that could potentially come to the Rams and help them has to be a “role model” for the youngsters. Can you think of a completely sane WR in the entire NFL? Most of the great ones are high-maintenance, egotistical, “look-at-me” maniacs.

Plus, we had plenty of role models and what did the geniuses in management do with them all? Let them go to other teams: Warner, Fletcher, Bruce, Holt, Manumaleuna, Pace, Curtis, etc. All of whom are still playing and very productive, by the way.

As for Indy not wanting him back, maybe it’s because they are still very good without him because they, unlike us, know how to draft.

IMO, the only things the youngsters would need to model are catching the ball and scoring touchdowns – something Marvin Harrison knows quite a bit about.

But

you would have too look at other factors too. I’m for it if it makes are receivers incredible, and he has a decent year. The thing is though i just can’t see how marvin could come into his first team that isn’t indy, a whole new system (that’s struggling), and a quarterback issue that will be in debate for at least a year or so and get used to it before he reaches 40. Granted some of his “swagger” might rub off on the youngins but how do we know? It’s just another gamble not worth sinking are money into.

not a fan of harrison now days

He used to be a great, but should have retired this year. And the thing is it would be a dumb move he’s 37. The only receiver we should sign that’s close to that age is issac bruce and let him retire as a ram kinda like an Emmit smith deal thad be pretty cool.

Actually,

that would be a great PR move for the franchise. Great idea.
