Rams vs. Green Bay: Game day news

Game day! Let's get the morning started with a look at what's shaking. I'll have an open thread up half an hour before the game starts.

Some light reading:

The PD looks at Green Bay's poor punting and whether or not the new Rams return man can take advantage.
Is Chris Chamberlain the new special teams guy?
Some good Deacon Jones profiles here and here. The perfect way to honor Deacon? Yeah, sacks, sacks, and more sacks.
It'd be great to see a Rams win period, but to silence the away crowd filling the Dome is ever more reason.
THis is crazy. After the Rams close game against the Redskins last week, the internet is filled with Lions fans who think they'll beat the Skins. Here's hoping the Skins get it together this week.
VTramsFan has a good look at Amendola. This guy could be a nice little pickup for the Rams.

Back with a game thread. Don't forget to set you fantasy lineups, and if you have Steven Jackson on your roster, this could be a big day...it better be.

In a non TST league, should I start Mario Manninigham or Devery Henderson?

I'd go with Manningham...

…simply because he’s hot right now and jes playing against a Buccaneers team that allowed Tony Romo to light them up hard at home. Mind you it’s just an opinion, because you never know what Drew Brees can do. The only thing is, Buffalo has actually looked good, and they held Tom Brady in check most of the first game till the end. Tough choice but I’d go with Manningham just because of who they’re playing.

Now I have a couple of questions for you guys: should I start Laurent Robinson or Bernard Berrian (who hasn’t done dippity squat) against the Niner D? Bulger may only be passing for 150 yards or so, but most of those looks are at Robinson and he looked good at the goal line. Also, Flacco against the lowly Browns, or Rivers against Miami? That one seriously has me scratching my head…

Lastly, about Amendola, they did the roster update on madden yesterday, and I returned kicks with him against Greenr Bay on All-Madden and I ran it back twice to the house in the same game. It’s actually because the game made him slow enough so that your guys actually set up blocks. I actually couldve gone a third and fourth time, but the speed deficiency allowed the D to tackle me from behind. Here’s to similar success, since it’s tiresome to keep starting from the 15 or so.
