Barron Gets an MRI on Knee

Alex Barron has swelling in his knee and while the team is saying they're only being cautious, it's serious enough that they're sending him in for an MRI.

All of you that were standing on the ledge can go ahead and jump now.

[Note by VanRam, 08/18/09 3:58 PM EDT ] Wait. Don't jump just yet. Tye Hill had swelling in his knee earlier this month, had it looked at (MRI or X-Ray) and played against the Jets. The Rams have been extremely cautious with every player injured in camp so far. (Mike Karney had an MRI, too). After the injury bug dealt a blow to Avery and Bulger, news like this is always hard to hear, but it's better that they're overly cautious than taking the "rub some dirt in it" approach that could really make it worse.

The Rams official site is reporting that the MRI on Barron came back clean.
