Rams will face a Jets team without several key starters to open the preseason
The St. Louis Rams will face a Jets team short on starters this Friday, in their preseason opener. Four of the Jets key starters will sit out this game. NT Kris Jenkins (strained calf, injured on the second day of camp), CB Darrelle Revis (hamstring), C Nick Mangold (knee), and RT Damien Woody (head) will all spend Friday's game on the sidelines.
Last season the Jets had one of the league's best running games - 5th best with a 15% DVOA according to Football Outsiders - evidenced by a 1300+ yard, 13 TD season from Thomas Jones. But let's face it, you and I might have had a 1,000 season running through lanes opened up by Mangold, G Alan Faneca and FB Tony Richardson. Richardson could also miss this game with a hip pointer.

Too bad
Well it’s too bad they aren’t playing their starters in a lot of areas because our guys really need to go against top flight competition in order to improve. J-E-T-S had a great O-line last year, good call on the stats you provided.
Lived in LA during the Rams and Raiders days. Now based in NorCal, I am still a die hard Rams fan and Raiders season ticket holder.
