Steve McNair found shot to death

This is really sad news on the 4th of July. I remember McNair well from fantasy leagues...a double threat. And, of course, Rams fans will remember him from the '99 Super Bowl championship when the Rams beat the Titans

Here's more at Music City Miracles. Not much is known at this point.

Wow. This makes me truly sad.

McNair was always one of my favorite players, every bit as much a lion on the football field as the more publicized Favre or Warner — one of these guys who fought his way to a starting job and never let go, and took every game personally.

terrible...

There were no other QB’s in the AFC that could’ve made me tremble the way Steve McNair did when I saw that the Rams were facing them in the superbowl (these were the days before Brady, Manning’s prime, etc..) The guy was a total professional, a beast on the field, tough as nails, and played the position differently than anyone (imho) that came before him. I’ll miss the kid from Alcorn St.

I was so glad

Mike Jones made “the tackle”. I thought the Rams were gassed and if the game went to overtime, McNair would have beaten them. He was tough. It’s sad to see him gone.

RIP Steve McNair...

You were a tough competitor against the Rams in 2000 and it sounds like a great person off the field as well.

May you have peaceful rest.

I love this team.
