Being a professional in my mind ... takes doing it on the field and off the field. You can't have all choir boys. I believe in first and second chances, but when you're talking about 13 or 14 ... I think at a certain point you've got to say this guy's got some issues that he's got to work out before you can trust him.

I don't know if John Lynch read my two-part series on this same topic (part 1, part 2), but he definitely hit a 3k chord when he said the above on a Chicago radio station about Brandon Marshall. It's one thing when fans say it; it's another when your former teammates say it.

i hear

that city/regional thing is a pretty new deal for ESPN. we’ll see if STL gets one.

Does Texas have one? I can’t believe they wouldn’t have a couple given the major metro areas there and pro sports of every ilk AND college sports with followings at least as big as pro teams there.

Very interesting move on ESPNs part. I assumed the Dallas one had to be high on the list. Great read; I may have to start forming a response for TST soon. Interesting indeed.
