Summer time in the NFL media world means profiles and puff pieces. I'm not editorializing, just pointing out a theme that'll be running through Random Ramsdom until training camp gets started. But, hey, who are we kidding...this time of year, a puff piece may be just enough to keep you looking busy. TST will be back with some decidedly non-puffy pieces this week and throughout the summer.

• James Laurinaitis is Chatting in the NFLRZ! - The Daily Buzz - NFLRUSH - Rams second round pick LB James Laurinaitis will be live chatting it up at the NFL Rush Zone tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET.
• When good predictions go bad - This year marks the 10th anniversary of the St. Louis Rams expectations defying run to the Super Bowl...what predictions won't work out this year? I'm hoping the doom and gloom forecast for the Rams receivers is on this list.
• Former Rams DT Keith Jackson, Jr. and volume buying - A seventh round pick from 2007, who was eventually released from the practice squad in September of that year, Jackson was arrested on suspicion of felony drug charges, having been found in an apartment with two lbs of weed, a gram of a coke and 50 does of X...or enough to spice up Matt Leinart's hot tub for a Saturday night. 

• Goldberg showing Smith the ropes - Adam Goldberg has been a valuable role player for the Rams, and now he adds tutor to his resume.
