How many sacks will the Rams have in 2009?

I didn't make this clear enough in my post from earlier this morning, so I'm reiterating it because I want to get some community feedback on it.

Sacks. The Rams will run a more aggressive defense this season that will be attacking opposing quarterbacks, similar to what Spagnuolo did with the Giants during his stint as defensive coordinator there. On the stat sheet and on the field, the new play book will be most noticable in the number of sacks the Rams accumulate. Over the last three seasons, the Rams have racked up 34, 31, and 30 sacks, respectively. How many sacks will they total this season?

I'm guessing 40 sacks, with a sack rate once again topping 7%.

Your guess?

I think it depends on DT play

if we get better push from the interior, I could buy mid-40’s

Ram sacks

First time posting here.Been a Ram fan since 1966.Experienced much bull shit over the years but enjoyed the ride never-less.I predict 40 plus sacks for the Rams.Spaggs and new coaching staff will dramatically change the culture of this team similar to what Dick Vermeil did in late 90s.Hang on folks but i can feel a real positive flow. This will work.GO RAMS.

I like

your prediction of about 40. I don’t see us getting more than 40 quite yet, due to personnel and lack of depth on that D-line.

SACKS

At least 40 sacks..These guys got alot to prove and should play balls to the walls. We are young and healthy now.

SACKS

Sacks should increase to at least 40-plus….let’s just hope with the extra pressure THE REST OF THE D-FENSE doesn’t give up the same number of big plays they gave up last year. Also, if Leonard Little can stay healthy, that will go along way.
