The Rams are the only team in the NFC West with none of their 2009 draft picks under contract. 11 of 29 picks for the four division teams have signed deals; however, no player signed thus far was drafted higher than the fifth round. Going by precedent, the Rams started inking their rookies in July last year - Keenan Burton signed on July 5, 2008. The team has set aside a rookie allotment for signing the picks. They also have a pending contract issue out there with OJ Atogwe, who has yet to sign his franchise tag agreement. July won't be that slow after all.
