Around SBN: Now They've Screwed Spurs, UEFA Willing To Review Rule

Turf Show Radio - May 9th, 2009

Could Wembley Staidum be the site of a future Super Bowl? It boasts an 86,000-fan capacity for football games (that's American football), and will host its third regular season NFL game this year when Tampa Bay plays New England, October 25.

I had to take the mic on solo tonight...with mixed results.  The Leonard for Harris trade, Pisa's departure, the Seahawks' 2009 fortunes, a Super Bowl in London (gasp) -- they're all in there.  Make sure to listen through the end for a brief appearance by Jim Rome.

London Superbowl

not only would it be a huge time difference for the fans but the players to, i mean the Hawks n 9ers complain about the times of their games on the east coast, imagine the complaints if they had to go all the way to London to play the Superbowl. Not only them but for any team, it would drop the level of competition because the players would be jet lagged.

They'd have two weeks

to get over jet lag. I don’t know if that would be a big concern. The Hawks and Niners have to practice throughout the week and then fly to the east coast. The Super Bowl teams could leave on the Tuesday or Wednesday after the conference championship.

Why would we want the Super Bowl in a different country?

Few of the fans that live in the country of the sport and are fans wouldn’t even get to see it, while people in England who not even know much about the league (I don’t know how much they would know) can go to it. I think the fans would be upset and I don’t think it makes sense.
