With the #23 pick in the TST mock draft, New England selects...

I'm jumping ahead so we can get this thing wrapped up.

With the #23 pick in the TST Community Mock Draft, the New England Patriots select James Laurinaitis - ILB - Ohio State.

New England loves to draft players that are smart and fit right into their system. The Pats need an ILB to go with their stud rookie from last year, Jerod Mayo, and this gives them an elite group in the middle. They might prefer Cushing or Matthews from USC's LB trifecta, but Laurinaitis gives them a guy who can play in coverage and move to ball with speed and skill.

Sorry I couldn't do the pick

I haven’t been home all day. I like the pick. I was thinking either Laurinaitis or Ebon Britton.

Who thinks we should draft Joe Laurinitis?

With his son James getting picked in the first round, I’d bet “Crazy Joe” slips into the second. He looks like he could still do some serious damage on the football field…
