Detroit and Stafford seem to be getting awfully close
The talks between the Lions and Matthew Stafford (QB, Georgia) seem to be picking up steam as we approach the NFL Draft. Despite official replies to the contrary, there seems to be a definite uptick in the number of sources and reports discussing the possibility of Stafford putting on one of the Lions' new unis.

Stafford vs. Sanchez
I find it weird how the Rams stated that Sanchez was a possibility at our #2 pick, but they havn’t really said a whole lot about Stafford… at all! It’s pretty clear that Sanchez isn’t a very probably pick, but why would they look closer at Sanchez than Stafford.

Poor, poor Matt Stafford.
It needs to be said: the Lions’ new offensive coordinator is Scott Linehan. (Insert your own cheap shot here.)
