With the #16 pick in the TST mock draft, San Diego selects...
I didn't get the Chargers pick, so I'm taking executive action here and drafting...
With the #16 pick in the TST Community Mock Draft, the San Diego Chargers select Rey Maualuga - MLB - USC.
Talk about the rich getting richer...San Diego shores up the one weak spot in a great group of linebackers, giving them a big hitter and a guy who can drop into coverage. They could use a RB, but the first round guys just don't offer much for the price.
Here's how our draft looks so far. Now, we've got to bust ass to get this thing finished, so don't hesitate to get your pick to me when your turn rolls around.

I apologize
It appears this was one of a handful of things that slipped through the cracks between the time DaBolts left BoltsFromTheBlue and I took over.
With that being said, I would’ve taken Maualuga (especially with OTs, Jenkins and Jackson off the board) and your write-up is dead on. The one thing that I like to add with Rey is that the Seau similarities create wonderful PR. Both went to USC, both are fierce LBs that take risks (specifically with blitzing), both are Samoan, etc. We could bring Junior in during camp to teach Rey the tricks of the trade and for a “passing of the torch”.
