Around SBN: Jerry Sandusky's Wife Tries To Run A Reporter Over

The Rams at Twenty: April 17th, 2009 (the futures of Anquan Boldin and Braylon Edwards)

Anquan Boldin and Braylon Edwards are both on the verge of being traded to a new team. Besides the question of where they'll end up and what compensation the Cards & Browns will receive is the question of who goes first. That could determine the terms of whichever trade comes second.

Jason Cole at Yahoo! Sports wrote a solid piece recently on teams trying to get fair value in trades that come just before the draft.  With two premier WRs about to find new teams, those two being Anquan Boldin & Braylon Edwards, it's certainly a relevant article.  I'm not really keen on writing a Boldin vs. Edwards piece, as SI.com's Ross Tucker did recently, but I am interested in comparing the deals once they're done.

The rumors are already floating as to how much either could command in a trade, but I think the most interesting piece of the story will be determined by which trade happens first.  With a couple teams in the mix for both, including the WR-hungry New York Giants, the order of the two trades could be very interesting, especially if either happen on day 1 of the draft.

That being the hypothetical case, which WR will find a home first?  Boldin or Edwards?

I wish we could get one of those two

Edwards because I doubt the Cardinals would trade him to us. I no Braylon won’t get here but I want him to. I remember the game I was at 1 or 2 years ago where Edwards caught a pass bulled over someone on our defense and then took his helmet off and got a 15 yard penalty. If only our defense could tackle like he could when he had the ball.

Question

Why ARE we not in consideratiion for one of these guys, we have a serious need for a veteran WR………we can swap 1st rounders or something……..i dont know, i just think we’re in a real bind when it comes to WR………Avery and Burton will be a great combo in the future, but we need someone now

because they're older than our blueprint

we’re looking to build a roster for 2010, and Boldin/Edwards are too old. It’s best to start looking at rookies/soon-to-be-vets; not proven WRs. The Rams are building inside-out, not the other way around.

Theyre not that old

Boldin is almost 30 which means he has at least 5 good years left and Edwards is younger than him…………i mean i know we want young players, but we dont want a team full of rookies and 2nd year players, especially at the WR position we need some experience………

3k for Rams asst GM.....someone make it happen!

I have proof TackleBox IS Jim Haslett
