Around SBN: Jerry Sandusky's Wife Tries To Run A Reporter Over

But I'd look long and hard at Vick if I were...the St. Louis Rams (Vick on artificial turf? And guess who was an Eagles defensive assistant in what turned out to be Vick's last game as a Falcon? New Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo.)

ESPN columnist Gene Wojciechowski on teams that should look into the soon-to-be released from prison Michael Vick. No comment needed. This could be a wild debate, depending on what kind of shape Vick is in.

Vick's contract situation for the Falcons is an absolute nightmare.

But, besides that, what the hell does this mean?

And guess who was an Eagles defensive assistant in what turned out to be Vick’s last game as a Falcon? New Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo.

Is there some sort of relationship there I’m missing?

Also, why does Vick deserve another NFL job? I never get this. Did he repay his debt to society? I guess. If a judge felt this sentence did it, then I guess I have to respect it. But why does he deserve an NFL job? He deserves to find a job anywhere he can find one. A job. Not necessarily an NFL job, but a job. He doesn’t deserve an NFL job any more than I do. If he earns it, fine. But he doesn’t deserve it.

Oh, and when people are counting chances, why does everyone always stop at 2nd? This would be at least his 3rd or 4th chance. But, all you ever hear is he should get a 2nd chance. Well, sometimes you screw up enough that you ruin future chances.

Nevertheless, just keep Bulger for the time being and draft a QB next year.

Btw Gene. Vick played on artificial turf before and never won a damn thing. Why would it be so different now that he’s 30.

Oh and Peter King expects Vick to be suspended from the NFL (once he’s released from prison) for a year meaning he wouldn’t be eligible to play until Week 1 of of 2010.

No, you say that, Governor.

i wouldn't trust peter king

he likes to think he has the beat on things when he really doesn’t.

That may be true

but I have no trust in anything Gene Wojo (sorry, didn’t feel like cutting and pasting again) when he makes up cockamamy relationships that somehow link Vick to Spags.

I still can’t figure that one out.

A 10-foot pole is much too short for this situation.

No to Vick

I would forget I ever cheered for the rams if he was ever part of the organization.

Hahaha

As if fans couldn’t stay away from the Rams fast enough, imagine adding this PR nightmare to the roster. Wow. Might as well go for the all-cancer team and sign Charles Haley out of retirement, trade for Terrell Owens, bring back Kyle Turley to be Richie Incognito’s personal life coach, and replace Spagnuolo with Barry Switzer, and Devaney with XFL founder Vince McMahon. Put pay-per-view cameras in the locker room and just sit back and watch.

All that said...

You all KNOW that someone will sign him as soon as he is eligible…I didn’t think anybody could be more toxic than Kobe Bryant a few years back, but he seems to have rehabbed his image big time…you hardly ever hear anybody bring up the rape trial anymore, at least in the sporting world. I think you could see the same thing here, IF he shows the right amount of contrition…I get that people are disgusted with him, and rightfully so, but we haven’t heard the last of VIck as a player just yet.

…and his name is Jerry Jones.

I think his name might be Al Davis.

Actually, it might be someone else, since both the Cowboys and RaIders are tied up with long term QB contracts for the moment.

Never underestimate Al Davis and Jerry Jones' ability to totally alienate a big contract

or Daniel Snyder to just spend a lot of dumb money.
