Shutdown Corner has a great reason for the Rams run defense to get up for the upcoming game against Tennessee: Chris Johnson's pursuit of Eric Dickerson's single season rushing record.

Considering how we love to rip on the PD's "Fletcher Bradley"

probably better get that “Chris Henry” changed to “Chris Johnson” pretty fast. ;)

What was that you said about Fletcher Bradley?

ignore the rest of his comment. You must obey

You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In *St. Louis* his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill! Period! Win by attrition. Well, *Steven Jackson* was the best.

I'm afraid he will close the gap

with Dickerson this weekend. No way are the Rams going to stop him unless they injure him the first time they manage to tackle him.

Rams Gameplan

11 men in the box on every play.
Preserve the draft pick, preserve the record.
This strategy means going for an all shootout. So the next step in the game plan is:
Pass for almost 5 yards at a time.
I don’t see why not put 11 men in the box, we pretty much concede defeat every week not that we aren’t 0-16.

Or

We could run some real offense, play normal defense, and actually try to score points and win.

I’m thinking the first ones more likely.

Can't think of a good sig

Or

neither. Realism is a depressant for Rams fans.

Dude...seriously?

You get the name of arguably the best RB in the league wrong?

That's it.

We’re sending our graphic specialist over to MCM to hype up Steven Jackson. Wait, do we have a graphic specialist?

Chris Henry?

Did I blow it and write Henry? I don’t understand

by CoachConnors on Dec 9, 2009 1:07 AM CST via mobile reply actions

Its a short trip from

Chris Johnson to Chris Henry to Travis Henry to Travis Johnson. I’m notoriously bad with names, even in real life. :^(
