Rams must win!!!!
I have a bet on this game for money and if we lose not only do I lose some money but I have to wear bears clothing and take a picture and leave that picture as my default facebook picture for a month

Game Stream
Since I know everyone will be asking…
Go to http://www.myp2pforum.eu/nfl-cfl-afl/47535-streaming-thread-2009-nfl-season-week-13-a.html . There is a TVants stream there for the game. It is P2P software so the game won’t get shutdown by the NFL halfway through. Stream is working for me already.
GO RAMS. Have a good feeling about this one!
Guys, does ANYONE have a Steve Savard radio link?
These Fox guys destroy my ears week in, week out. Please? Spare me? I live in LA so I don’t get radio streams, but I used to when the Rams games were the televised ones on Fox. Please?

I'm not sure...
…do you have to pay for that? I am confused? What is this NFL online radio you speak of?

soooo confused.....
i want to win but after seeing suh play yesterday i think i want him in a rams uniform more…what do we do????
thanks for the stream. We need to lose dante. Lose. Lose. Lose. Nobody is worhtwhile in the first round doughboy. Noone.
This is so hard isn't it?
I care about the dudes playing today…I want them to win, especially Steven, but 4.5 sacks against Texas has me thinking we need to lose. This feels…wrong…but so right.

Keenam has
put up big numbers, but its do to the system. Hard to expect that to translate in the NFL.
everyone knows.....
im high on keenum its hard to ignore his big arm regardless of the system he plays in
I hope Trent Green cheers
for us, like he did the last Rams game he covered
Who else but Atogwe?

What are the weather conditions
for the game?
yikes!
That’s two balls that a good secondary would have picked. Cutler’s making the same mistakes he’s made all year, but, yah, we’re making him look good.
SUH SUH SUH SUH SUH SUH SUH SUH SUH SUH SUH SUH!!!

I don't know about that. Whenever the rams draft a d-lineman it never really works out for us like ryan pickett, damione lewis, jimmy kennedy and adam carriker
Again, that doesn't mean anything...
…you can’t predict how a guy’s career will turn out based on past failures. Also, our coaches have never been defensive specialists. Spags is a D-Line specialist. There’s every reason to think this will work well.

With the glaring exception of Adam Carriker of course
I wonder what’s in store for him in the future
Eh, we held em twice at least
not a bad effort from the front 7 there
ok...
so Cutler throws deep so far… good- keep him doing that and he’s likely to throw at least 2 picks- and if we can do something with those- we’re in it… (call me mr. optimism)
Rams telecasts are so bad.
They can never make a smooth transition out of replays.
Rams need to step it up on offense, and the secondary does too. We’re really using Jackson carefully. One carry and then comes out.
Can't think of a good sig
Tough drive
D-line looking decent. Coverage continues to be an issue. CB may not be the biggest need, but if Bradley Fletcher can’t be himself next season, a year from now we’ll be pining for a top CB.
You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In *St. Louis* his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill! Period! Win by attrition. Well, *Steven Jackson* was the best.
agreed, but...
This draft is supposed to be a poor one for CB’s, especially on the top end. We have so many needs, we can’t afford to reach for any particular position. I could definitely see us taking a CB in the 3rd-5th round though, if someone decent is available.
Maybe address it through free agency instead
usually takes a while for the CBs to learn the position in the NFL
yeah
The first long pass was underthrown because of the hit on Cutler. Our DB’s just aren’t responding to the ball though. On both of the long throws, one of our guys was in a better position to catch the ball than the WR, but we didn’t make a good effort on either play.
our D-line is like the smallest of our problems today.
Offense and secondary is what you should be more concerned about
Can't think of a good sig
And thats why
he’s a career backup.
Gotta step into that throw
Now let em guess our offensive strategy for most of the day....
1st down – incomplete pass
2nd down – run for 2 yards
3rd down -incomplete pass or sack
Giants Umenyora(sp?)

they just reviewed this on TV
You can see that we brought everyone up as a bluff, and then the safeties didn’t get back far enough when the play started, and thus got beat straight down the middle of the field.
they are stacking the box to stop Forte
to make Cutler pass… and then we start picking him off and returning them for TD’s and win by 20+
I'm going to wretch if I see Spags pat the asses of the defense when they come off
after allowing another score…
hey we only had 10players on the field that last play
that went 48 yards

Cutler has 3 picks if we turn around.
And why doesn’t Bartell look. Once you get to the corner of the endzone they ball as to be there. So stop it.
Can't think of a good sig
I love it
Ron Bartell acting all smug and happy after he ended up defending a ball with this back. That one could easily have been picked as well.
Points came on 2 long plays
The plus: we’re still turnover hungry
The Minus: still giving up the big plays

In all games, it is important to force your opponents into difficult decisions. Our offense has been too predictable — can’t always just run SJ on 3rd and 3.
does shurmur know

well let's do half-time grades then
QB: C-, ineffective early, and sacks hurt. looked good on the last drive.
RB: A, Jackson’s a stud! 75 yards even when hurt and behind banged-up line.
WR: D, no one seems to be open downfield. Fumble by Gibson really hurt.
OL: C+, it has been up-and-down, but running lanes have been there, and Boller has generally had time..
TE: C, haven’t made much of a difference either way.
DL: C+, a little bit of pressure, and have contained the Bears’ running game.
LB: B, generally effective.
CB: D-, gave up a couple of big plays and missed on three good chances for pick-offs.
S: D, also missed on the big plays.
ST: A-, punting game has been excellent, opening kick-off was a head-scratcher
Only differences
I might downgrade QB and upgrade CB, but that’s pretty spot on

Boeller doesn’t sell anything and is easy to see where the ball is going. Those were the ‘best’ matchups he could find? This makes me sick…

I just don't understand his intent
We got it to work on one drive at the end of the first half. That’s one real drive in 8 possessions. In fact, ignore that drive and you’ve got 7 drives that have all gone for less than 30 yards. Seven drives for 69 yards. Disgusting.

I have some demands

and don't forget
Robinson was quite good too. GIbson also looks promising (maybe), and Avery is pretty good. This is why I think we shouldn’t draft a WR high (unless there’s someone who’s such a falue that we just can’t pass on them) or spend a lot on a free-agent WR.

I've officially seen enough of Shurmur
This is insanity.
Good God
Anyone that has watched this offense all day long and still wants to draft another DL guy with the top pick is nuts. This is easily the worst offense I have ever seen.
Were you watching
when they ran the ball down our throat for the whole 3rd quarter?
Yes
The defense gets tired because the offense makes them stay on the field the entire game. The DL isn’t perfect, but absent SJ the cupboard is 100% BARE on offense. There is talent on the defensive side.
No, there is not
You do not win in the NFL without a defensive line.
Bulger's out...
…and there’s 2nd round talent. Chillax. Plus, if Suh were there, our defense would have won this game by now.

Yes
But you can find someone to come in and be quarterback without guaranteeing them $30 million. The Rams defense is terrible and has to be rebuilt before they start throwing money at quarterbacks.
The defense is not half as bad as the offense
Occasionally the defense stops somebody. The offense does nothing, ever.
whoever we take is gonna get 30 mill
regardless of position
A great QB would solve all of our offensive problems.
I feel like our line is good, our RB is great, and our Receivers are okay, but that doesn’t add up. If all three of those things were good we would be scoring. So we have some work to do.
Can't think of a good sig
Disagree to an extent
Our WRs are terrible. Need a #1 desperately, and then everything might fall into place a little more solidly. Still, they obviously need a QB first and foremost. I can’t watch another year of the Bulger/Boller show. And don’t start on Null, he’s going to be a career backup at best. Need some top-tier talent.
we have a lot of problems
so we just have to draft the best guy. Everyone knows we need a QB, the only question is whether anyone coming out is worth a top-three pick in the draft. Lots of pundits are saying no on that.
That's the same line that has been said for year after year
I’m tired of it. We’ve passed on any number of QBs that would be much better than what we have because we didn’t think they were the BPA. It’s junk. They need to man up and take a shot.
anyone want to guess which QB has the fewest passing yards this far today?
That’s right…
Boller (STL): 11-20, 71
Cassel (KC): 10-29, 84
Schaub (HOU): 11-15, 89
Moore (CAR): 13-19, 95
Fitzpatrick (BUF): 9-23, 98
Five guys still under 100 yards for the day (ugh), but we’re the worst!
so tell me...
which of those passing lines do you like? Schaub’s is the best, but that isn’t saying much, esp. since his team is down by 11.
Well Cassel is completing 33%
I’d take Schaubs or Moore’s, whoever that is

Locker, Claussen, Bradford
In that order. Any of the 3 above Suh.
yeah, those seem like the best three
but i don’t feel great about any of them
It seems like no one ever feels great about QBs
People didn’t feel great about Ryan or Flacco either. Sometimes you just need to take a shot instead of “playing it safe” over and over with OL/DL players. This is not working.
i'd be happy to take any of those guys
in the second round or late first (via trade) like they did with flacco, but taking a bust QB in the top 5 kills your organization
News flash: this organization is already dead
We need a savior.
hows jamarcus russell doing at saving the raiders
this is what im afraid of
The Rams will finish 1-15 this year
What’s left to be afraid of? Every single year this team’s fan base is scared to death to take a QB in the first round. Meanwhile, we bust on OL/DL picks constantly. I just don’t understand it. Look at what Ryan has done in ATL. That’s what this team needs.
If there was a Peyton Manning in the draft then I'd say we should
but their is nothing near that this year. What does taking an average QB do for us? Nothing. You can improve your team in better ways.
Can't think of a good sig
Peyton Manning comes along once in a generation
We’ll wait for 20 years before you get a QB of that caliber again. Should the Rams go that long before they FINALLY address the elephant in the room that our QBs are absolutely atrocious?
We have a first round QB right now
his name is Kyle Boller. There’s no QB in the draft worth taking that high. Suh makes our defense a lot better and a QB probably doesn’t do much more than what we already have. Lets wait for Blaine Gabbert in the 2011 or 2012 draft. Great size and great QB. Look what happened to Mizzou when he was hurt. They didn’t win.
Can't think of a good sig
But how can you know that?
I say there are 3 QBs worth taking that high, 2 at the very worst. Who’s to say I’m wrong and you are right?
Time will tell.
I don’t think any of them are worth that money. And Peyton Manning’s come along every 20 years, but there’s not even an Eli Manning, or a Philip Rivers. I think we’re better off taking a later rounder.
Can't think of a good sig
unfortunately it doesn't
I keep thinking that we must be the worst team in the league after this display, but that’s not necessarily true. Cleveland, Detroit, and Tampa are basically equally bad.
well that was perfectly awful
You can’t win if you can’t pass downfield in this league. Boller just can’t do it. They gave him three chances. He made one good pass and two completely awful decisions.
I think SJ
can do everything. Just direct snap it, he could throw screens as well as Boller.

Bad decisions and bad throws from Boller — over and over again. I guess this is why they won’t let him throw downfield. If he played like this all day with a typical NFL gameplan, he’d give up a huge number of picks and probably get another WR hurt.
