Texans Question About Steven Jackson
Hey guys, Battle Red Blogger here. I just wanted to stop by and ask if there's been any information regarding Steven Jackson's back? I saw he was pretty contained by the Tennessee defense (but I'm sure that had more to do with Null than his injury) and was pulled later in the game. I know he hasn't practiced in 3 weeks but he's been soldiering out there week in and week out like a stud. Any news regarding his injury or any insight regarding what he'll probably be able to do against the Houston run defense?

He's been limited...
…and our O-Line had it’s worst performance of the season yesterday. The fact that he’s out there amazes us. With a better performance by the O-Line, he can rip off another 100 yard effort, but it’s clear the back has taken some of his burst the last couple of weeks.

Any chance he gets shut down for the season?
I mean what’s the point to play him anymore, especially if he’s injured?
At this point, I think it'd be our best move...
…unfortunately (admirably), the guy has too much pride to sit out. If he can run, he’ll go. I just hope he doesn’t make it worse, but our O-Line is going to ensure it does get worse if they don’t play better than they did yesterday.

So we'll be seeing him Sunday?
I love his toughness, just wondering because this is a huge game for us, our hopes are slim to none for the playoffs and we’ve had problems against big name backs this season (MJD, Johnson). So it’d be too much to hope to not see him this week?
I doubt he'll sit...
…but don’t fear the apocalypse just yet. Neither of those backs had such a debilitating injury when they had their big days against you. Considering how our backup QBs have played, you don’t really have to worry about the pass. Stop Steven and you’ll win. Don’t stop Steven and you’ll still likely win.
Andre Johnson is a different animal.

he will play
he’s going to sit out third down passing situations (when all the running back does is block), but he’s going to play and get his 15-20 carries. the rest is up to the offensive line.
