Inactive, Jason Smith leaves game with concussion issues
How bad is it for the Rams right now? Their starting RT and second overall pick in the draft, Jason Smith, was carted off to the hospital during today's game against Seattle...and he wasn't even playing.
Smith left, dealing with more fallout from his concussion.
Loud noises can cause problems for concussion suffers, according to Sando. The Dome had its smallest crowd of the season, and the game was blacked out locally because it didn't even come close to selling out.
Maybe Smith's pride was hurt. Mine was today.

A concussion that bad...
…in a rookie season could spell disaster for Smith’s future. You don’t mess around with brain injuries.

As long as they listen to the doctors and take every precaution
and DON’T RUSH HIM BACK!!!!!!!!, he should be fine.
Then again, I have no idea what kind of concussion history he has. Sounds to me like he has Post-Concussion Syndrome, which doesn’t always show up with concussions. If this is the case, there is absolutely no time-table for his return. He needs to be symptom free for at least a week.
I had PCS a few years ago and I pretty much lived on Excedrin. I took it every day for probably 3 or 4 months and then 2 to 3 times a week for another 3 or 4 months. The first week was the toughest though. Not only did I have the splitting headaches, but I also had dizzyness and light-headedness every day.
Super fun.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

This would be a major disaster
if this concussion made him “concussion” prone so to speak. Major blow… man oh man… Might be time to think about limiting his playing time the rest of the way. Sucks, but hey, we need to think about the future.
