Ah You serious? Rams lose another for the season
The St. Louis Rams will send their ninth player this season to the injured reserve list. This time it's defensive end C. J. Ah You.
Ah You surprised everyone this year, earning a roster spot and fitting into a nice job as a role player. Spags used him inside on those 4 DE packages. He had some surprise moments you'll recall. He was a Spagnuolo favorite...or so it seemed.
It's a tough break for the Rams.

Anybody have a list of
how many players teams have sent to IR? I’d be surprised if we’re not leading the way. The injury front has to be addressed this offseason. Something’s not right.
You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In *St. Louis* his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill! Period! Win by attrition. Well, *Steven Jackson* was the best.

Also
STLToday has the full list in their transactions:
http://stltoday.stats.com/fb/teamstats.asp?yr=2009&tm=14&btnGo=Go&type=transactions
Easier to muddle through if you “Find” “IR”. They don’t have Ah You listed yet, but they have the other 8.
THIS year's the year. I hope....

This one hurts.
Well, it hurts me…
I was really enjoying the play of Ah You. I know he’s not great, but I think the team’s going to miss his pressence on the field.
Plus, I had no idea he got hurt so this is a complete surprise to me.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

Are our guys not getting the proper conditioning and/or training they need?
The number of serious injuries suffered seems way out of line. And, it’s not just this year, it’s been bad for awhile. The loss of Ah You will hurt! I sure hope somebody in the Rams’ organization is looking into this mess. How ya’ supposed to win anything with nine guys on IR?

+1
It’s been like this for a while, I agree. This is something you simply can’t ignore. I used to think it was a fluke or just how things went for us but now it’s getting ridiculously common.

you got to be kidding
so we lost another player to the IR. did you think we would have won the next few games with him? the only benefit that comes from here on in is Spags gets a chance to see what everyone can do so he can properly evaluate talent. with that being said hope he can bring in some good players next year, we sure as hell need them ( alot of them ).

It seems to me all teams
are having more serious injury problems this year. There are a lot of really good players on IR or out with concussions. I don’t know what’s going on, but the league needs to figure it out (as do the Rams).

I made a post a little while ago about this exact topic, the problem when this many injuries rear their ugly heads is usually due to bad coaching and bad conditioning….as we know the Rams have suffered with bad coaching for awhile but this year was supposed to be different so i wonder what gives.

Bad Strength and Conditioning
…leaves players vulnerable to injury. The definciency also shows up in other areas, like lack of quickness and a slow first step. Those are developed with good strength and conditioning work.
