Cards versus Rams - close game or blowout?
I think this week's contest hinges on which Kurt Warner shows up; the 5 TD pass guy or the 5 INT guy? Unfortunately, about 4 out of 5 times the great passer takes the field. The Cards are coming off a nice whupping of Sheattle and the Rams should feel very good about their performance against the Saints. All we needed was one more break like stopping the kick-off return TD or not having an INT in the RZ to have won against the number 1 ranked team. Beating the Cards will require a plan similar to last week, i.e. run SJax as much as he can take to burn clock and keep Kurt off the field. We're gonna have to score some major points by hook or crook to win. I don't think anything under 28 will get it. Our weak D-Line is gonna struggle getting pressure on Warner and that will give Fitzgerald, Boldin and Breaston time to wreak havoc with our pretty decent secondary. So, our offense has got to step up and score TD's. SJax will carry his load - no worry here. The first thing we should do is sit "jinx" Barron and "stonehands" McMichael. Both are detriments to the team. Bulger will have to play with the intensity he did last week and bring his young receivers along with accurate passes. There's also nothing wrong with an occasional reverse, flea flicker or shovel pass. 4th and 1? Go for it instead of kicking a FG. Three pointers just won't beat a high powered offense. If we'd scored 7 instead of 3 in the one instance last week, we'd have been tied 28-28 in the 4th instead of trailing by 5. It goes without saying that we can't survive turnovers and penalties. Anything that lets the Cards offense on the field hurts us. Anyway, Good Luck Rams, It's about time we got a few more breaks... To win 2-3 games this season against our NFC West rivals would be Heavenly.

Warner
loves it when defenses blitz him. The Cardinals generally play well unless they play a team that can either get to Warner with the front 4, or a team that is so good at blitzing that Warner doesn’t even have a chance of finding the open guy and beating the blitz.
As you guys may realize, the rams are neither. As far as I’m concerned, this game is just as hard as the Saints game, because the Ram’s front 4 literally, literally has done nothing all year. We gave up 200 yards to the Saints on the ground. Can we stop Beanie Wells? He’s looking really good.
Our only shot is for SJax to have ANOTHER monster game of atleast 130 yards on the ground and for Gibson to build on his stellar performance against the Saints.

Don't too concerned with the rushing total from the Saints game
We were playing a really soft line for the LB corps to try and hold Brees’ aerial attack. That opened up the game for Bush and he took advantage. Bear in mind we’re giving up 4.5 yds per carry, good for 23rd in the league, and that’s with the DT crop we have and some very subpar CB play. I really think we could have a solid game against Zona’s running efforts.
You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In *St. Louis* his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill! Period! Win by attrition. Well, *Steven Jackson* was the best.

You never know
our defensive line could pull a Brandon Gibson.
That’d make my week.
I believe in 2010

I knew the Gibson trade was gonna be worth it, the kid will excel on this depleted team especially, and i believe that the Rams will win if they play like they did against the Saints

No way
the Rams win this week… maybe when they visit the Cards will they have a chance. Warner, WR quartet, defense are way too much for the Rams to handle IMO. I’ll still be pulling for the Rams though!!

Cards 4-0 on the road this year.
At least I imagine that is his logic

Cards are whole different team on the road
Although they improved at home last week against the Seahawks.
What? I didn't break it, I was just testing its durability, and then I placed it in the woods becuase it's made out of wood and I just thought he should be with his family.

Yes that is my logic
hence maybe a chance when they visit the Cards…lol. The Cards are a terror on the road this year, which is a turn around for them. Anything can happen yes, which is why I’ll still be rooting for them!
Hey, keep your eye on Boldin, as this is the LAST year for him to be under contract. IMO, that is the [veteran] WR we should focus on during the offseason. We all know the Bidwell’s won’t pay him more money and he wants to be a #1. He’s the tall [6’+] over 200lb receiver, kinda’ like what Spags has been bringing in. Just throwing my dream out there….

Boldin, Robinson and Avery would be a dream ticket.

plus Gibson as a fourth and probably Foster
The 53 as one have become the 53 that won.

Boldin has this year and next year still under contract
The Cards have implemented the “Steeler Rule” that contracts will not be renegotiated until the last year of the current deal…thus talks should resume potentially as soon as the post-season.
We all leave footprints in the sands of time, just watch out for the discarded fish hooks!

You're right,
he does have this and next year under contract. We’ll wait and see what the future holds; no reason the Bidwells NEED to retain his services as they have a nice receiver corp w/out him. Maybe a high draft pick and a seasoned qb… lol. He’d be an improvement over Lienhart.

Warner plays great against the Rams
I think Warner and Co. are gonna have a ton of yards passing on us today.
Best moment I've ever seen at a game in person
"If it was Zoom Zoom'd, we'd be doom doom'd" - making fun of myself for my bad luck streak in the 2009 season
Looking forward to Cardinals baseball in 2010!

I'm thinking at least
450 total yds total on us. We have the same propensity, obviously the better playing defense will win the game.
