for the spot

It could, but I would think Payton’s people are telling him not to waste a timeout

You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In *St. Louis* his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill! Period! Win by attrition. Well, *Steven Jackson* was the best.

You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. Period! Win by attrition. Well, *Steven Jackson* was the best.

You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In *St. Louis* his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill! Period! Win by attrition. Well, *Steven Jackson* was the best.

The only bad thing about the review

is that is slowed the momentum. Did stop the clock, though…

2nd down. This is the kind of football I’ve been waiting for all season. Perfect send off.

its too bad

we have no hurry-up offense experience this year. otherwise, we might’ve knocked them off

man

what if they would have caught that last pass. What if.

by Eric Nagel on Nov 15, 2009 3:11 PM CST up reply actions

Yeah.

I think we burned a good 20-30 seconds on issues with lining up and relaying the play call.

Man

that was very winnable
8-8?

Wooooooooooooo!!!!

Couple of suspect offensive play calls (like always), but ridiculously enjoyable to watch.

THIS year's the year. I hope....

definitely

hopefully it won’t be the letdown like last year after the dallas game. at the moment tho, i’m feeling pretty good about this.

After playing that way against the Saints

I feel like they at least have a chance every week now

by loyal2therams on Nov 15, 2009 3:13 PM CST reply actions

So proud of them...:)

Marc showed me some heart today, not to mention he had a better statistical day than Brees did. I’m really proud of him, and for a day, can we give the guy some slack? Not props mind you, but at least slack. A pass even. Is that too much to ask?

What are you talking about?

He won the game ball in my opinion…

by Eric Nagel on Nov 15, 2009 3:15 PM CST up reply actions

tho...

i would rather avoid giving him too much credit for anything, cause it may make us at least question our draft strategy (which should IMO absolutely be to draft a qb), which in the long run would hurt us severely

by gotyourselfastew on Nov 15, 2009 3:19 PM CST up reply actions

But if he shows us something...

…as he continues to gain rhythm with his receivers, especially Gibson and Avery today, then why don’t we address a more pressing D-Line need?

Avoid giving him credit?

he would have had a 70%+ completion percentage if they wouldn’t have dropped those balls. He came out sluggish, and adjusted and had a great game.

There is no argument you can make to say he shouldn’t be credited.

None.

one question

Why did we keep throwing 4 yard passes to Jackson in the middle of the field? Throwing it away is more productive.
Great game, at least
Next time we’re in a blowout game, we should just practice running hurry up

Well

theres always the hope that Jax breaks a tackle and goes for a long gain. He is our best player, after all.

Thats the only reason i can think of

Thank God we have Gibson now because the rest of our receiving corps has terrible hands.

now

I have no idea about the quarterback situation

by loyal2therams on Nov 15, 2009 3:20 PM CST reply actions

We're not playing any teams better than the Saints for the rest of the year

3-4 Wins definitely possible if we play like this. 8-8 and the playoffs has a slight chance.
If we win against the Jags and the Skins we have 3 wins and the season is a lot different right now.

I thought there was going to be an upset.
We deffinatly played good against a 8-0 team
I still have faith we will see more wins down the road

Sorry for no comments...

I just had to watch and focus on this game in the quiet of my own living room. I expected this game might be excellent, and it was. The Rams played well, and I’m pleased with their effort. But as I alluded to previously, we had to play virtually perfect to win. Too many dropped passes, an INT in the RZ, a KO returned for a TD, and poor clock management just couldn’t be overcome. And, it seems that I felt a momentum killer by my favorite whipping boy “Alex Barron” with that false start penalty that wrecked a potential drive after the touchback play. Anyway, congrats Bulger, Jax, Avery, Smith and Gibson!

This doesn't change our QB situation

We still need to acquire one this off-season. It definitely improved our outlook for this season though.
