Around SBN: The Worst Team Ever Projected?

Right now [Ndamukong] Suh is firmly entrenched as the No. 1 NFL Draft prospect in the nation. It's now beginning to appear that he's above and beyond every other player.

Please, no more defensive lineman from Nebraska.

LOL

We don’t want to break our good run of bad luck?!

Grant Winstrom

Wasn’t he from Nebraska?

I believe in 2010

ha ha I hear ya

but man this guy is on another planet… hard to imagine ANYONE passing him up with the #1 overall pick.

Not to mention

If we didn’t want him, and had that #1 slot, we’d have a massive bargaining chip.

Haha

I say that only (partly) in jest. Grant Wistrom, for example, played really well for some of the great Rams teams. Yeah, Suh would be a great piece to have, especially since (like I’ve said before) it would help out Chris Long tremendously to have a playmaker of his caliber in the middle.

i think it all depends

on how spags feels if he fits into are system. But with talent like that it’s really hard not to fit anywhere. Lets just say if the rams pick him i will not be disappointed.

beast

i support drafting suh 100%…The most dire need is at QB but no one really appeals.

We don't even know how

good Null is or could be. He could be all we need in a couple of years to lead the team into another SB. I’m starting to see more of the media saying Bulger won’t be around next year, but that doesn’t mean we need a rookie 1st round QB.

i feel like this doesn't even matter

because i still believe the rams win at least 2-3 more to get themselves down to like the 5-6-7 range instead of #1.

jd is legend for Cardinals' closer 2010!!

if that happens

I say draft Berry (if he’s still available)

by jb22 on Nov 10, 2009 12:28 PM CST up reply actions

idk about berry

unless somehow we cant resign atogwe maybe just maybe but i highly doubt that. I think you have to go by highest skilled then if its tough to decide see what unit needs the most help. depending on where we land id like to see us trade down and pick up McCoy.

I guess

I’m just not really big on signing Atogwe, unless we can get him to agree to a reasonable contract. I think he’s a bit overrated, because he is a very poor tackler in the open field. And the few instances that he does manage to get in position to tackle, he just goes for the strip and gets carried for another 5 yards. He is a great ballhawk no doubt, but I think we might be overpaying him a little.

I know drafting a safety does seem like a luxury that we can’t afford since we have Butler and Atogwe, but Berry is a really special player that doesn’t come around too often. He’s just as good of a ballhawk as Atogwe, and will no doubt improve. Despite his small size, he’s a fierce tackler as well.

not that i,m hoping

for the no.1 draft pick but now that someone is there that is worthy of a high draft pick
we wont have that chance.

good points

but i do believe atogwe still has proven he’s a good safety still and i think by letting him go would just be another position to fill. I really think he and the secondary will benefit from a great pass rush i think on defense this is the biggest issue in the offseason. Berry is a good player but right now i just think its too much of a gamble. And for the secondary we do need to find a number one corner bartell has great size and overall a pretty good corner but im concerned about him getting torched.
