Random Ramsdom 10/7: Rush Limbaugh Edition

As Kanye would say, I apologize for my lateness. But it's hard to get excited about the Rams these days. On to the links.

As I'm sure everyone has heard by now, there are several groups mobilizing to buy the St. Louis Rams. One of these groups is headed by radio talk show host, Rush Limbaugh and St. Louis Blues owner Dave Checketts. Here's Jim Thomas with the skinny. And let's just say Brian Burwell is none too pleased, adding the fans should be weary too.
The Rams did a little tinkering with the practice squad yesterday.
A little breakdown of the Steven Jackson's performance versus the '49ers from his own website. Pretty impressive site by the way.
Steve Korte reports on the throwing arm of one Marc Bulger. Still questionable at this point for Sunday. Does it really matter?

More unexpected was today’s trade that sent Braylon Edwards to the Jets for Chansi Stuckey, special teamer Jason Trusnik and two draft picks. In other words, WR action in the NFL and the Rams aren’t involved…

I’ve got Edwards on one of my fantasy teams and had to keep myself from dumping him just yesterday.

Btw, not only do I not think we could really afford to take the gamble on Edwards like the Jets could. They’re trying to compete for a division title and playoff berth so it’s well within them to make this trade but I don’t think we could have matched this trade either or would have.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

There is no way Rush Limbaugh should not be allowed to own a NFL team. His history of racially insensitive remarks about blacks, from McNabb to Obama will make it difficult for black players to rationalize playing for that organization. Dave Checketts may have also done the right thing – by unceremoniously booting a racist blowhard, Limbaugh, from his investment group that’s trying to bid for an ownership stake in the St. Louis Rams. Rush Limbaugh may be finding out that money doesn’t buy everything. It also doesn’t buy intelligence, because Rush Limbaugh is blaming liberals, not his racism and drug addiction. NFL players are even against him as an owner. Maybe that should have tipped him off, but then again, Limbaugh isn’t exactly known for insightfulness, or intellect, or really doing anything positive for anyone on this planet. At least the Rams won’t need hard money loans to make Rush Limbaugh go away.
