We can't allow our opponent to put us up against the wall early

Avoid early turnovers, feed Steven Jackson and win the field position battle early. If we can do that in the 1st quarter, we have a shot.

Let's all chime in here...

there were a lot of questionable decisions on that drive starting with predicability, ending with handoff to Gado… I mean…

"The greatest accomplishment is not in never falling, but in rising again after you fall." - Vince Lombardi

by VTramsFan on Oct 4, 2009 3:33 PM CDT reply actions

Just when you think Shurmur is thinking outside the box...

He calls that play on 3rd and short. With Gado in at halfback, no less.

by Ghostrider520 on Oct 4, 2009 3:35 PM CDT up reply actions

But the predictability was working

and it further sets up the unpredictability.
Look, I know we’re all eager to switch it up, but you have to establish something for the defense to assume a reaction. I was ok with it until that damn Gado hand off.

Amedola is a pleasant surprise

Sometimes decent talent can be stashed away in a deep position likethat, nice to see the Rams are paying attention to the rest of the league’s personnel.

I tried to go to this game since its the only time they’ll get to my area of the country. It was an optomistic plan but just too much on my plate to get to the bay area. Next year for sure

Lived in LA during the Rams and Raiders days. Now based in NorCal, I am still a die hard Rams fan and Raiders season ticket holder.

The Niners look absolutely inept on offense. Worse than the Rams, IMO. How do we take advantage that we have the best offensive weapon in today’s game? And when do the turnovers come? Coffee almost fumbled, we’ve seen some pressure on Shaun Hill, Boller looks up and down.

who calls a play like that.. losing 28-0 with bad field position, and a guy who took a huge hit earlier..

I once railed against our old guys Bruce, Holt and Pace, but...

…it looks like they still had some contributions to make for other teams.

by edpjr on Oct 4, 2009 5:48 PM CDT reply actions

And let's not forget...

With two more losses, we will have lost 16 games in a row, effectively an entire season. And with Minn. and Indy on the horizon, it doesn’t look good for wins any time soon.

by victorian on Oct 4, 2009 5:58 PM CDT up reply actions

Linehan is a joke...

And a pathetic talent evaluator; remember this is the guy who gave us Tye Hill.

No Joke guys...

We really could go 0-16. Seriously. I just looked at the schedule again.

by victorian on Oct 4, 2009 6:05 PM CDT reply actions

honestly

it’s probable. i don’t see how they can beat anyone with this team and gameplan

by riotmute on Oct 4, 2009 6:10 PM CDT up reply actions

Martz was crazy sometimes

in his play-calling, but there was no question that he was a football genius. Shurmer is just crazy.

by victorian on Oct 4, 2009 6:10 PM CDT reply actions

im serious

i think he was on our sideline today

SHURMUR NEEDS TO GO

by Carneros on Oct 4, 2009 6:11 PM CDT up reply actions

it looked like him

but no one on tv or anywhere said anything so i could be wrong

IT"S OFFICIAL.....

THE RAMS ARE THE WORST TEAM IN THE NFL !!!!!
Worse than :
 Kansas City
 Tampa Bay
 Oakland
 Detriot
and Cleveland.

by ZamRam on Oct 4, 2009 6:16 PM CDT reply actions

this guy sucks double revers from our own 20 what a joke

fumble touchdown 49rs what nice start you fucking mut shurmer

by james535 on Oct 4, 2009 6:16 PM CDT reply actions

What hurts the most...

Is seeing all the former Rams playing for other teams:

1) Fletcher
2) Bruce
3) Holt
4) Pace
5) Manumaleuna
6) Warner
7) Curtis
Ironic that 7 are offensive players who continue to do well at positions we suck at: QB, TE, WR, OT. J

by victorian on Oct 4, 2009 6:20 PM CDT reply actions

Our defense is good enough to go all offense right now

If we get enough offense in the offseason we could keep the same defense. We’d keep the defense off the field more and if we could score 3 TD’s per game we’d be a decent team

SHURMUR NEEDS TO GO

by Carneros on Oct 4, 2009 6:21 PM CDT reply actions

Agreed

Our defense holds well, just gets worn down, who can blame it though, I’d get tired after being on the field that long too.

by GrnGyant on Oct 4, 2009 6:22 PM CDT up reply actions

shurmers offense has scored two touchdowns in 4 games

what ta fuck is Spags whaiting for get rid of this bum

by james535 on Oct 4, 2009 6:22 PM CDT reply actions

I Just Realized....

how undiciplined this team is…..with all the penalties that negated good plays and all the mental errors that the other teams scored from……wow
