We can't allow our opponent to put us up against the wall early
Avoid early turnovers, feed Steven Jackson and win the field position battle early. If we can do that in the 1st quarter, we have a shot.

Good escape by Boller. We can’t afford drops today.

SHURMUR NEEDS TO GO, Avery needs to get it going.
You can't pass every first down

We could have easily gotten something on a pass if we tried because everyone knows we are going to run

You'll see some first down passing today.
It’s more execution than surprise when we do pass though.

Good stop
Maybe now we pass on first and then start pounding with AxJax.

But if we do pass on first
you have to look down field. There’s no point in dropping back and then dumping it off for 4 yards. Either screen to Jackson or play action deep to Avery.

there were a lot of questionable decisions on that drive starting with predicability, ending with handoff to Gado… I mean…

the only thing I can think is that they were trying to be unpredictable by not having Jackson pounding on 3rd and short

Sometimes decent talent can be stashed away in a deep position likethat, nice to see the Rams are paying attention to the rest of the league’s personnel.
I tried to go to this game since its the only time they’ll get to my area of the country. It was an optomistic plan but just too much on my plate to get to the bay area. Next year for sure

This is going to be an interesting 2nd half
The Niners look absolutely inept on offense. Worse than the Rams, IMO. How do we take advantage that we have the best offensive weapon in today’s game? And when do the turnovers come? Coffee almost fumbled, we’ve seen some pressure on Shaun Hill, Boller looks up and down.

Ironic that 7 are offensive players who continue to do well at positions we suck at: QB, TE, WR, OT. J
Our defense is good enough to go all offense right now
If we get enough offense in the offseason we could keep the same defense. We’d keep the defense off the field more and if we could score 3 TD’s per game we’d be a decent team
