Limbaugh Dropped From Consideration
Sports Illustrated is reporting that the group trying to buy a minority ownership stake in the Rams has dropped Rush Limbaugh from their ranks.
In a statement released Wednesday evening by St. Louis Blues chairman Dave Checketts -- who is heading the group that hopes to buy the Rams -- he announced Limbaugh's official exit from the bid. It is believed that Limbaugh's controversial participation would have doomed the group's effort in the eyes of NFL owners. League sources told SI.com that Limbaugh's candidacy in any Rams bid had "zero chance'' of being approved by the league's owners. In his statement, Checketts said Limbaugh's participation had become "a complication and a distraction'' to the group's efforts

FWIW
Rush is considering libel lawsuits against the news organizations who have reported he said the quotes which are so incendiary. There’s been a lot of research on the “slavery” comment and another one (I think it’s the NAACP/training in robbery or whatever) and there are absolutely no records of these quotes other than a book written about Rush which lists no sources for the quotes.
And, it’s looking like he’s got an very good case.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.
Well, I think he'd be targeting specific people
but I could be wrong. Either way, there’s been a lot put out there by a lot of people recently, that’s been reported as fact but no one seems to be able to find proof that he actually said it.
And as polarizing and popular (good or bad) as Rush is (and the fact he has a microphone in his face every time he opens his mouth), one would think that if these things were actually said by him, they’d be fairly easy to find.
We may not know it yet, but this might actually be the tip of the iceberg which starts to break down the smear campaigns that have been running for both sides.

It's kind of both.
I forget exactly the way it read when I first read about Checketts interest, but I think Checketts (or maybe Kronke) would own the largest percentage of the Rams but that number (as well as the percentage owned by the group) would be less than half or something.
It was tricky the way it was done. I’ll see if I can find the original article.

I haven't found it yet.
but everything i’m reading says “majority” owner. Rosenbloom and Rogriguez own a 60% share.
Now, the original article I read is coming back to me and where it was tricky was that Checketts would own like 30% of the team, but would be considered the “majority” owner (even though Stan Kroenke owns 40% (I think) since Checketts “group” owned the majority (60%).
I think that’s how it read…….

Rush
is in some trouble with comments about Al and Jesse. I love how rush can stand up to people like that and tell it like it is. I think its ridiculous how the whole nfl was protesting him along with almost everybody. Sports is the one thing that brings Religion and Politics together you can be a Muslim a liberal or a conservative but at the end of the day your on a team with the same mission as everyone. I just wish you didn’t have to be a part of some ones beliefs to get where you want to go in life.
