Rams vs Everybody
I've been a Rams fan for 48 years, yes 48 years. From Waterfield to Bulger I've seen it all. I never hesitated when they moved the team to St. Louis to keep my alliegence for them but it justs seems to me this team has a cloud over their head. 10 years ago the teram every other team hated to face has become a mockery. Spags maybe bit off more than he can chew but the constant mistakes and buffoonery that goes on out there is sometimes too much to take. I watch teams like the Pats and Giants and they seem much more creative in their approach to the game. Getting Mike Carney to me seemed like a great move to open up the running game for SJ. It didn't. If Chris Long was on the Giants he would be probaly a better player. My point is it might not be so much the players as the system. I can just imagine Belichek gettin his hands on Danny Amendola and turning him into Wes Welker.

Welcome to the Times
A cloud, huh? Are you superstitious? : ) It’s the season for it, apparentrly.
As someone who is optomistic by nature, and having had to be while leading teams to win from behind, I have to tell you that I don’t agree with the part of your post that seems to say we’re destined to do poorly. But I sure do feel as frustrated and out of patience as you, and I do think we’re way past due for some good luck.
Lived in LA during the Rams and Raiders days. Now based in NorCal, I am still a die hard Rams fan and Raiders season ticket holder.

What were you
expecting a 1st year coach to do this year when they cut half their roster from the previous year.
The Pats have a good O-line and have a guy named Brady throwing the ball…do I even have to explain this one?

Not to Worry
Hi CUBir—I gota kinda jump in here a little bit. and repeat a post I did sometime back. In the case of the players, Coach Shummer is only running sets that he knows our O Team can handle. He is smart enough to know that you can’t take a rookie, no matter how good, and put him in a situation he can’t handle. In short, the bland play calling matches the level of play. The tempo will step up when the O team can handle it. Same goes for the D team pass rush. If guys that haven’t played together more than a week can’t stop the bomb, don’t commit everything in the box until the D team level of play can handle it.
