Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Linehan was offered the job to become the 49ers’ seventh offensive coordinator in seven seasons Thursday night, according to sources. He was expected to meet with his family before informing the 49ers of his decision.

He's back. Should be fun to stuff the 49ers offense next season.

Sweet.

Maybe he’ll cut Bruce again.

I don’t get how you produce an offense like he produced the last two years in St. Louis, and then turn around and get a job running an offense in the NFL.

He won't be in charge of personnel

and he won’t be coaching the offensive line.

He’ll probably be a much better OC than he was a HC.

As long as he never has to give another lock-jawed, white-knuckle press conference, he should be happier, at least. I’ve never seen a guy as visibly uncomfortable on TV as Linny.
