Around SBN: Miikka Kiprusoff Wins 300th Game, Buffalo Crushes Boston

Stat of Week 3

Stat of the Week III At 5:14 p.m. ET on Sept. 21, on their 28th offensive possession of the season, the St. Louis Rams invaded the red zone of an opponent for the first time this season. When I saw this I definitely was in shock. Could this be true? Well it definitely is true and shows how bad this team is on both sides of the ball. Starting field position has been terrible all season plus the offense is non-existent. This stat pretty much sums up the season. Buffalo is no joke and Marshawn Lynch is going to be a handful next week. Something has to give with this team sooner than lat

More to chew on...

St. Louis’ six plays inside the 20 on Sunday netted minus-2 yards (source: AP Article)

Uh...

21 implies that the play originated OUTSIDE the 20. You are funny! ;)

I'm pretty sure he knows where the red zone begins

I took it as a comment meaning the “Red Zone” is kinda arbitrary. Really, would you have been more satisfied if the play would have taken place 1 yard closer to the end zone and we could have then said the Rams have accumulated 18 yards on 7 plays inside the 20? Would it have changed the defense or the offensive play call had the ball been on the 20? No it wouldn’t have.

The play does not count as a Red Zone play because of an arbitrary line on the field.

Nothin'. A handful of nothin'. You stupid mullet head. He beat you with nothin'. Just like today when he kept comin' back at me......with nothin'.

Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.

agreed, but...

still, I was just backing up the fact that AP’s info was correct, even though it might have seemed like it was wrong.

and regardless, the experts on TV will

continue to laugh at the Rams this Sunday about how they’ve only managed negative two yards in the red zone. Trust me.

BTW, with the installation of Trent “what’s my name?” Green as the QB this sunday, my original 29-13 Bills prediction has been shifted to 29-6. Poor Trent, I hope he makes it past the first series.
